Hi, there! I’m 35 and I dream to become a mum. Up to this time, I didn’t use to have any problems with fertility. I think it’s because my bf and I didn’t plan to become parents. Last year, we got married and, finally, started to ttc. At first, everything was ok, but when I started to track my periods, I noticed that there are some short delays between them like 3-4 days. Now, I have delays like a week. We haven’t managed to conceive a baby yet. I consulted my gyny. She asked me to do some ultrasound checks and the results were ok. I also did some hormone tests like FSH and AMH tests. The results are mediocre. My doctor says that my short delays may be the first signs of early menopause, but she’s sure yet. My female cousin has the same problems. She managed to give a birth to a child when she was 25. Now she’s 38 and her periods stopped completely last year. I think there is a great probability that I might be in the same boat… Are there any ladies with the same problems like me? How did you cope with your problem?

I have very low ovarian reserve, I am 34. Think was 30 or 31 when found out. My periods were very regular so no indication of it there. We had IVF in the end and out baby girl is 7 weeks old.
I advise taking high dose coq10 and high dose vitamin d. They say you can't increase the numbers but mine did, not drastically but anything is good in my opinion.
Don't lose hope, what were your numbers on bloods? Xx

My neighbour was in the same shoes. She was even considering ivf de with PGS NGS, but she decided to try acupuncture first. May be total coincidence however she got pregnant.

I was diagnosed with poor ovarian reserve at 31. I started having acupuncture, Maca, pregnacare vitamins, wheatgrass (tastes wrong) mixed with a smoothie. These all helped anyway I started having ivf which I didn't respond to, had 1 converted to iui which didn't work, 3 cancelled then after one f he cancelled cycles I fell pregnant naturally against all the odds I had been given. Do you know what your levels are? Mine was exceptionally high and now have a cheeky 2 year old so don't let them write you off. Good luck, any questions please just ask x

If I were you, I would consider DE IVF the last thing to do. There are quite a lot of methods that may help you to conceive naturally. DE IVF requires you to take some medicine. It can be a little bit challenging for your body, but it can give good results. I needed to do DE IVF as both my ovaries were extracted. So egg donation was my only chance to conceive. I did it, and now, I’m a mum.

Tropical liana - congrats. A daughter of my accountant is preparing to undergo IVF de probably with PGS NGS. She has 3 failed IVF-s, probably cos of advanced maternal age and poor ovarian reserve. So they decided to move to de, and probably at Czech clinic

Hi, ladies! Thanks for your answers! I think it will be nice not to hurry in my situation. If there is the smallest chance for me to get pregnant naturally, I would use it. I started to move more and work out regularly. This makes me feel much better. I also started to take an acupuncture course. As for DE IVF, I will do it only when I’m sure nothing works with me. Tropical Liana, could you please tell me the way you’ve chosen a clinic for DE IVF? What did you pay attention to?

I think you shouldn’t give up the idea to ttc naturally. If your test results are mediocre one, there is also a chance for you to get pregnant. I think you should consult RE as such a specialist has more expertise. As for choosing a fertility clinic (I hope you won’t do this), you need to take into consideration three things: success rates, package of service and price. I tried to find an effective clinic that has not high prices. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find such a clinic in the UK, so we had to travel abroad. It was a little bit tiring, but it was worth it.

We found one clinic. They are also situated abroad. They offer us oocytes of 18-25 year old women who have already become mums. The clinic’s reps told us that they are very selective in choosing egg donors for their clients. All women who are willing to become egg donors have to pass through a rigorous medical check up. They also pay attention to their heredity. Only when a woman is totally healthy and has a good heredity she is accepted as an egg donor.

lamia- great news. If you want to increase your chances, you might combine your treatment (even IVF de) with PGS NGS x

But she decided to try acupuncture first. May be total coincidence however she got pregnant.
