A bit of fun - baby names!

My husband and I have started a list of names for fun, and have realised that we have absolutely no boys names we can agree on at all! Plenty of girls names we like though, so I guess we will just have to hope we have a girl 😂

I really loved the name Harrison for a boy but my husband said absolutely not...

I’m a fan of names you can shorten, eg Samanatha to Sam, as I liked being able to tell when our parents were throwing out a warning with us when we were being naughty by the use of our full name, lol

I already have a Jake and a Harrison. I like Isabelle for a girl. Issac, Oliver and Noah are my faves for a boy.

I like Matilda for a girl but stuck on a good middle name! It would be Matthew James for a boy. Matthew after my hubby's friend and James after my grandfather.

Those are lovely names! I really like Joshua, but one of my close friends married a Josh and he turned out to be a total tool so it sort of spoiled the name for me.

Current top of our list for a girl is Holly, my husband is really set on that name.

I also like the names Ethan, Jacob and Noah. Sophia and Olivia for a girl too. My hubby doesn't like the name Sophia. I have to admit that it is true what a friend said to me...you don't realise how many people u hate until u try naming a baby! There has been a few i can't use as a name as they remind me of an asshole

Oooh love a name thread!

We have a Madison Grace & a Kian David. Both middle names after our late grandparents. When thinking of our third I’m constantly putting it with our other children’s as it has to go lol.

We like Harriet & Darcy for a girl. With the middle name Florence (again after a grandparent)

Boys were finding harder. We both like Jax but feel there’s still something better out there but we’re yet to find it lol

 That’s so true! So many nice names and then I’m like, oh no, I went to school with a (name) who was a jerk, can’t use that...

Megan and Riley are my faves at the moment x

I have an Ezziemai. Me and hubby have names picked out. Roma Estelle for a girl and Ronan Richard Maurice =)

Any ideas for a middle name for Matilda?

Personally I’m really not keen when parents just give their child a random name for a middle name. To me a middle name should be after a family member. Like a grandparent etc.
What was your nans name or even middle name? You could use that as a middle name to go with Matilda

The only thing that springs to mind is Honey (as in Miss Honey from Matilda), but can’t think of any other characters from it! I like chattychar1990’s idea of using a relative’s name.

A friend of a friend used a ‘theme’ for her kids’ middle names, as she was estranged from family. She chose superhero middle names, I think... Clarke was one, Bruce was another, cant remember the others!

We have 3 names picked already Evelyn Grace, lilly Elizabeth for girls and Frank owien for a boy trying to work out another boys name so we have 2 names so we are prepared we originally wanted 3 kids but I like the idea of 4

My husband and I are a tad bit geeky so superhero middle names would be awesome!

Still for the life of me can't figure out a middle name for Matilda!

We are science and sci-if geeks, so I suspect there will be a theme for us. Isaac is already a possibility but for a middle name.

I suggested several Star Trek themed ones as a joke - we have agreed that if family members keep throwing in their opinions without asking that we’ll pretend we are using a Klingon name and watch them freak out
