3/5 engaged - will baby come soon?

Well I had my 36 week appointment with the GP yesterday and baby is still 3/5 engaged (she has been since 34 weeks)! This is my second and I was under the impression that second babies didn't engage until just before labour. So does anyone reckon I could pop early? I couldn't cope with going 2 weeks overdue again!

hi, lets hope you're not going to be overdue!! i'm 40 weeks and have been 3/5 engaged for a goodnumber of weeks, frustrating isn't it. I know everyone is different so you may not be overdue. i'm hoping LO will work his/her way down soon

Unfortunately 2nd babies can pop in and out of the pelvis, so it doesn't really tell you much about how far away labour is.
I hope baby comes soon after you get to term!
