Noticed today movement has felt a little
Reduced than usual. I'm 24 weeks today. I've had a couple of kicks but nothing like the pounding I usually get. I got the doppler out and hb seems fine. Noticed he was a lot higher up that the last time I used the Doppler. Could he just be in an odd position right now? I've tried iced water but that didn't wake it. I'll keep an eye on it but do baby's have sleepy days?

My little lady has been quiet the last 2 days but then I've also been busy. The Doppler now finds her around my belly button do I put it down to change in position xx

Morning, hows your little one now??

My little one also had a very quiet day yesterday! As you said, the odd poke but not major movements like they have been. I woke up this morning and gave her a little poke to which she nudged slightly back.....just having breakfast now and am hoping that wakes her a little! Never really know at this stage how often the movements should be? Could just give the midwife a call for reassurance.

XxX

No difference really. Tried another bottle of iced water and a hot drink and I think I felt something but could have just been my stomach lol hard to tell when I'm at my desk.

My MW said you should feel at least 10 kicks a day. He could just have turned around or something so I can't feel him as much.

Maybe our babies are just lazy this week lol

I've been sitting at my desk wondering if its baby movements....I just want to lie down on the floor on my back lol!! I felt a hard bump this morning when I was lying down and wondered if it was her bottom which could be the reason for reduced movements as she is prone to doing that!! They do like to worry us!

XxX

At this stage sweetie bub won't have a definate pattern and he/she will be going through regulat growth spurts and wearing themselves out.

I'm surprised your MW has mentioned the "10 kicks a day" so early - my hospital don't advocate counting until 32w  (although 28w seems about the norm from what most other ladies on here have said?)

Try not to worry - they have quiet days [my little one was very quiet yesterday]

Of course if you notice no improvement in the next day or so give your MW a ring.

xxxxxxx

Spoke to my MW (she is my best friend so it's handy lol) she said at least 10 kicks in 12 hrs. I'll keep an eye on him but I'm not too concerned x

Yeah hun I agree with Nat, i had a grwoth spurt at 24 weeks and bubs was quiet for a couple of days, nothing mattered what i did. Couple of days later, back to full kicks. I was told not to worry about kick counting or patterns til after 30 weeks. also at that stage they are quite mobile so could be facing a different direction.

Growth spurts.
I know when my little man is growing as hr wiggles more than kicks an thrn hes quiet for maybe 3days and then hes back to kicking me. Even at 20 weeks my insides feel bruised somedays I am thankful when he just moves lol.
