20 week scan letter

How long did it take to get your letter through to confirm your scan date?
i still havent got mine yet getting rather impatient. coz OH would need to try and get the day off for it and its worse the shorter notice it is..

I didn't get one as I booked mine when we'd just had the 12 week scan. I did phone up yesterday to check I had written down the time right though

Maybe it might be worth phoning the department and booking it yourself, if they allow that? Did you midwife indicate how long it would be before they let yu know at your last appointment?

i did try to book it myself, but they wudnt let me, apparently theyve got a back log of ppl atm and finding it hard to fit everyone in so guess ive just got to keep waiting..

I think I got mine a good month or so ago, not too long after my 12 week scan I don't think. Ihope you get yours soon, I think I would chase it up just incase it has gotten lost in the post or something

I didn't get mine until about 2 weeks before. I phoned up and asked because I was so anxious they had actually booked me in. Just phone your midwife and ask if she can give you the number for the hospital they should be able to tell you when it is!

I got mine about 2 weeks after my dating scan. It was about 6 weeks before my appoinment though and the wait was agonising!

i was told if it hadnt turned up by 18 weeks to ring midiwife and she would chase it up for me, mine came when i was 17 weeks, however i dont think there's huge back log here and everything seems pretty quick so u may have to wait longer and have your 20 week scan at 21 or 22 weeks

I got mine a couple of weeks after my 12 week scan, i hope yours comes soon as were due the same day looking at your ticker and ive got my scan next week when i'll be exactly 19 weeks! x

They made an appointment for me straight after my 12 week scan so I knew straight away. I would ring them up and chase them hun

Mine came with my 12 week letter. Give them a call, you're far enough along that I bet they won't mind.

I would ring/talk to your MW and explain if they could let you know asap as your OH needs to arrange time off, she can't begrudge you asking her to chase it up for you Really hope you get your date asap Claire very best wishes

with Jack we could book it at our 12 week scan, but we werent allowed to this time, and i asked when i had a consultant at 16 weeks and they said they were back logged but i shud get it soon... think i will give it until monday if not give them a ring

I'd probably ring them hun just to be sure. I got my 20 week scan date straight after my 12 week scan and the letter came to confirm it about 10 days later xx

well as ive just left another message and am getting more an more annoyed if we dont hear anything by next week we're going to book a private scan to find out the sex. as im getting way too impatient and wanna buy something

Did you call the maternity unit?

At my hospital its the Xray dep that do bookings but you get your scan with the sonographer over in the Maternity dep. I had to call the Xray dep to discuss changing the date of my scan. My maternity unit had no control over bookings for scans.
