2.5 year old won't fall asleep alone

Hahaha yeah I coslept with 2 for ages... and my toddler still cosleeps, my 3.5-year-old comes into the bed every night, and my 6.5-year-old comes in the bed 19 nights out of 20! It’s craziness but I know I’ll miss this so badly when they’re grown. These early years are so precious and fleeting.

I am sure you will find a way to make it work! A toddler bed works wonders for some. My personal feelings on the independence side is that they will get there eventually. I don't really get the need to force little ones into growing up. If they want to spend an extra year or two cuddling at night it isn't going to do them any harm like make them have social issues as a teen or adult. That is totally different from the practical side. Especially with a baby on the way you if you are able to get her into sleeping on her own now I am sure it will make it easier for your routine.

My little boy (2.5yrs too) has just started doing this! It's so frustrating- he also has suddenly decided he needs his lamp on! Tantrum if I dare turn it off. I wondered if he's going through another leap of growth spurt- I know when he was a baby that each milestone (walking/crawling for first time etc) would result in shit sleep for a bit. I'm praying it's a short phase as I've got a 6 month old too to get to bed! Xx

Well no luck for us... She will not fall asleep alone, unless I lay down beside her. You know what? I am going to leave it for a while. She will sleep when she is ready. And we will have to make it work with the baby here.

Toddler bed was a hit for 1 night only.

It's just great for relaxing. I like to put a couple of drops mixed with some milk in their baths- works a treat!
