Why do people think their old because they can't see it?

I'm 20 and I can't see the bloody piercing.

I haven't been told by my midwife not to have any piercings, so I didn't know, I was planning on a tattoo, but I think I'll pass

Get the facts straight people. a) i never accused her of lying b) i didn't compare getting a piercing to smoking and drinking (if i did i would be out of order considering i had a few drinks while i was pregnant)

first was thinking of pm'ing you, not to stir up more animosities in the thread, but actually I guess it needs to be in the open.

Just wanted to say that you're not alone with your opinion, and I think it's good that you're standing up for them. It annoys me how people think that a nose piercing (or ear piercing for that matter) doesn't count. And it annoys me how health professionals simply are not clued up about piercings and their risks and therefore still frequently give wrong advice.

Putting a hole in your body is putting a hole in your body, no matter whether it's in the nose, the ear, the navel or anywhere else. A midwife or doctor who claims that a nose piercing is alright, but the belly button wouldn't be shows only that said doctor or midwife knows f-all about piercings (incl. the fact that cartilage usually is more difficult to heal than areas with better blood supply) Next time ask the professional, i.e. the piercer, for their opinion, and definitely don't hide your condition from them.

To those defending 'Jazz/attacking Fran and anyone who comments negatively: get a grip. It doesn't matter how nice a piercing looks. It shouldn't be too much waiting another 6 months to get it done.

Right but the point is she didn't know, she asked the midwife and doctor and regardless of your opinion they told her that it was ok to have it done. Maybe Jazz will decide to speak to her midwife about it but thats up to her.

I'm sick to death of seeing people jump on this girl in almost every thread she makes. It's a joke.

I would never expect people to keep their opinions to themselves but why don't they give Jazz the respect they give most other members of this forum and word it constructively. It was obvious Fran thought that Jazz was lying, I think the words I don't believe a midwife would give you this advice points to the fact she thinks she was lying.

I am not attacking Fran with my post. I have seen a few other people on various posts of Jazz having a go at her about different things when they wouldn't speak to others in the same way.

So yes I am 'defending' Jazz, and I won't accept being told to get a grip by you or anyone else for it either

I am sick of people throwing stuff around before getting their facts straight, so let me set them straight for you Fran. I have never once been spoken to about my treatment of Jazz, I have never once slagged her off for any choices she has made but if you would like go back over my posts and check for yourself. I have never once been banned for saying things to Jazz.

Fran, the only person who's making this an argument is YOU.

It was about Jazz's nose piercing not something which happened (in forum time) years ago...
