Hi folks, back after an absence of 5 years. Will be TTC for baby #2 at the tender age of 43.
Trying not to get stressed before actually TTC which is very hard knowing my history, some may remember my username the 1st time about in 2010. Back the. I was 37, BFP after 2 months, very stressful pregnancy, serum test came back high risk Edwards and Down's syndrome, went for the amino which was clear but awful time with a non sympathetic consultant. Few scares on the way and was being monitored. Labour for 36 hours where they left me in stage 3 too long and my son was stuck in the canal, no amount of forceps could unstick him so emergency C Section, I was then put under general anaesthetic as they ripped me and I was haemorrhaging, was nearly lights out for me in theatre. My son was quite traumatised obviously after being stuck and took a while to breath I have been told by DH. He then went on to have jaundice but everything ok until 19 days old we were blue lighted in and told my son had meningitis and was only a couple of hours away from the golden gates. This is the short version of events as I don't want to bore you but here I am with a gorgeous 5 year old son with no lasting effects and have only now in the right mindset to try for #2 @ 43, don't get me wrong, I am truly blessed to have my son but I suppose this is my last chance to try before I shrivel up lol.
I've purchased a Clear Blue Advanced Fertility Monitor which I am hoping to start using as soon as AF arrives but alas my periods have been so whacky the last couple of years and very irregular due to a cyst on my ovary and a fibroid. I am not going to give up hope and hoping there may be others with success stories to share.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blurb.
