about what else I need to buy, all i need to get now is a sterliser (bottles come with that) a few more vests and babygrows, crib sheets and a car seat. wow. i cant believe that theres not much more to buy! thats a weight off my mind, was just going through everything with mum x
how are you ladies doing, have you got everything/started your shopping? or waiting a while before you start? x

well since i found out on Friday that we are having a girl i brought some stuff today ,

like scratch mittens, baby grows, vest, and a cute dressing grown which was so lovely with slippers

and that's it getting some more stuff tomorrow

and then after that I'll get the cot, etc all the big things later on

lol i need to get almost everything and ive only got 8 weeks to go .

other people have got us stuff do we dont need to buy much ourselves.

Mum bought our pram today its got a car seat with it so i guess thats two things off the list.

We are being given my nieces old crib ( she was only born last march so its basically brand new), we have a steriliser with a few bottles, loads of neutral coloured clothes wish we could by pink or blue , birth to potty pack of cloth nappies. and thats all so far!

i just rely on everyone else reminding us of what we still need to get (lol im so unprepared) .

yeh im realllly lookin fwd 2 it cant wait to c it again, i hope i can find out the suspence is killing me! i dont know how people keep it a surprise! lol..but congrats hun! my mum wants me to have a little girl she keeps on going about frilly nickers n lil dresses lol, but my bf wants a son obv! so i dont knowwww! lol, ill be happy with what im given! really worried bout scan though as i dnt want there to be anything wrong what will be will be though aye!! xx

i dont know how people keep it a surprise!

some people dont get the choice if they have naughty babies with their legs crossed .Its not that bad though, i hated not knowing what i was having but now im excited to find out when the baby pops out.
Your scan will go fine hun dont you worry about it hopefully your baby is a little flasher .

omg i feel 4u lol, its gonna do my head in if i cant find out. i don't know what i'll do..i'll be pulling my hair out!! oh well, well if u got no choice then i suppose a surprise is a surprise lol..at least we'll find out 1 day aye!

i was soo nervous about the Scan too.. but i got seen straight away and the woman didn't really have to take ages to look for her, because shes grown so much.. the last time i saw here was 15 weeks and 3day.. but she's big and everything is it's correct place, i was so worried that they was something wrong with her

but she's all good... didn't move much but i think she was sleeping, she moved her hand..ahh bless

little red... your so luck and blessed to get everything for you... all i'm getting is a pram from my friend... she little one was Bron, December... it's from mama's and papa's she spent £400 but we are getting it for £150

we got a pram & car seat from my mum, my sister got us a cot, a baby-bath, a sterilizer and a vibrating-chair-thingy and various people have got us clothes; i'm not sure what other things we need but is it true that we're entitiled to £500 from the government for baby stuff? (on top of the £250 for the trust fund, i mean) how do we get that, does anyone know?

yep!! u ge tthe 500maternity grant if ur on jobseekers or nt much income?. im on jobseekers atm n wen im 26 or 28 weeks? im not 2 sure i have to sign onto the social n i will be entitled to the maternity grant. i get mine in april i dont really understand much about it. i asked at my local job office where you have to go to sign, but they are so stuck up and mean and they look down on u etc not very helpful at all, so id rather fone them

when i was pg with my first baby i had to change from jsa onto income support when i was 28 or 29 weeks and you can apply for the maternity grant when you are 29 weeks pg and up to 3 months after baby is born

Wow, you have nearly finished your shopping. That's great to be so well prepared. You can put your feet up and relax during the last half of your pregnancy.

I know I'm having a little boy but I haven't bought anything yet. Not even a little vest! I don't know how much longer I'll wait but probably until at least 20+ weeks.

My nan has said she'd buy the pram (hoping to get a combi with car seat and carrycot). My sister has a cot we can have. It's been in her loft for 12 years! So we'll need a new mattress for that.

what qualifies as not much income? i'm on £14k a year b4 tax which i dont think is a lot but i live with my boyf who is on £19.5k a year; would they count his as well? x
