Would you call this a period

A bit confused about my cycles! I would appreciate some opinions.

I haven't had a proper period for a good while, I had a mirena coil fitted in April/May time, and didn't have a period apart from some spotting now and then. I went to have the coil removed on Jan 15th and they couldn't find it. It could still be there, it may have fallen out nobody knows, I'm having a scan on Tues to find that out.

Anyway, the night of Jan 15th I started bleeding, and this lasted a week. It seemed like a period TBH but with this coil business I can't be sure. The other possibility is it could have been from the Doc's utensils, she was trying hard to find it so she could have caught my cervix. It's a bit coincidental that this bleeding started that night, but if she'd have caught my cervix I'm sure it wouldn't have been that heavy for that long?

I'd think a period. Had she of nicked your cervix, as you say I'm sure you wouldn't have bled for so long and so heavily.

I may be wrong, I'd just think it's coincidental that you come on that day
