Just booked my Practical driving test for the.... *cough* second time!
I originally had my test back in May and right in the middle of it I hit a bus!
Well scraped my wing mirror along the length of it!
Really scared me off driving and I only had my first lesson since that last Wednesday! I just really need to pass before the baby's here. I own a car with OH and been paying for it and the insurance and all the MOT's and whatnot since January but can't drive it (unless he's taking me out for a lesson) I live out near Heathrow airport nowhere near any of my family and friends, which get's me down enough normally but with a baby at home i'm worried about being isolated! If I don't pass this time I don't know what i'll do!
So the test is October 28th! Only 10 weeks to go!!!

Good luck if it's any consolation I passednon my 6th test I used to get so nervous lol! But I got there in the end!
I am sure u will do fine just keep away from buses

Good luck pinky! I hate buses too, used to cringe everytime one went past me! My driving instructor saw me once and said if I did it on the test and the examiner saw it, he would change the route and make me drive past buses!

Needless to say, after that I had to grin and bear it and passed second time round.

Good luck for ur test, and get out on the road as much as possibleto build ur confidence xx

Lol @ MrsMc!! Did u get extra points for that???

Lol the funniest thing was I wasn't even sure if I'd hit him! I just heard the bang and said the the examinor 'was that me?' lmao

Pinky! I can just imagine the look of horror on the examiners face!! Hehe!!

Good luck, I'm sure you will be fine! I pulled out in front of another car in my first test - doh! Mind you my Dad didn't pass until his 6th test and my Uncle until his 11th so us girlies in the family know who the better drivers are between the men and women - tee hee.

Keep up with your lessons hun and just stay calm! driving needs to come naturally before you take a test, i know its nerve wracking though. I remeber my legs were shaking when i did mine. I ended up with 12 minors but I still passed thank god!!!

Go for it youl be fine!

oh god, that first test sounds awful lol! :dohh:

BUT plenty of ppl dont' pass first time! second time lucky as they say! when i was learning to drive i hated my lessons but it is the best thing i've ever done (although it has made me a bit lazy!)

just throw ur self into it! xx

I don't necessarily agree, i'm a better driver (and have a bigger head) than my brother and my OH who both passed 2nd time, but it took me 6 goes! Having said that, i didn't exactly have much luck! I think some is circumstances and examiners have a big part to play. My mum booked them in rapid succession whilst i was on anti-depressants. I failed one, and then i had the next the day after my nan died, the next was the day after her funeral so i wasn't expecting to pass them! Then i had an examiner who failed me for not seeing a car round a corner 15 car lengths down the road, the next was my own silly mistake and then i finally passed.

My Oh hit a tree on his first driving test

It was just a joke..............

I'm sure you'll be fine! That's 1 day after my birthday, surely a lucky day!

Thanks Ladies! It's just so much more pressure as this time I need to pass!

Aw hunni im sure you'll pass this time, i only passed mine exactly 1 yr ago today!

Like the others have said it depends what sort of day your having, how the examiner is with you everything, will have my fingers crossed for you xxx

Good luck! I'm sure you'll be fine.
I passed second time - my first examiner was really jumpy (feet hovering and twitching over the emergency brake) and put me right off!
My second test the examiner was so laid back it was more like a driving lesson than a test!
