Will your OH Actually WATCH the birth??!!!

Oh saw the birth of our first, our little man he didnt as i had a section. i dont see why not if he wants to

I want him to stay head end but our midwife said he can help deliver/ catch baby when he's born if all is going ok. He's so excited at the prospect I couldn't say no, such a nice way for him to be involved & will be 1st to hold baby & give him to me!

My OH wants to be at the head end as he says he wants us both to see the baby at the same time, and to be honest I think I would rather he be with me haha.

My hubby said he defo wasnt going to look but the midwife encouraged him too, I was too tired at this point to care!!

I don't really want mine to look, because it's probably not that pretty a sight, but he said 'I'm a scientist! I don't know if I'll be able to resist the curiosity...' So I reckon he will look, but I probably won't care by that point! x

My other half will be down the bottom end.... someone needs to see baby being born and if i cant i want him too so he can tell me about it!! I wouldnt mind him videoing it so i can see everything that happens! May sound silly to some but if im pushing out this baby i want to be able to see it coming out!

There's a discussion about this on This Morning today. One bloke said on their twitter: "don't stand and watch at the business end, it's like watching your favourite pub burn down"

My o/h watched at the side holding my hand so he could see both ends and thought I was amazing

With my first my oh was holding one of my legs for me so he saw quiet a bit and my second he was up bu by head rubbing my face and talking to me but when I she was crowning he watched , didn't bother me at the end of the day it was his child coming into the world so he could watch if he wanted .

We've not really talked about it properly, just sort of little bits gathered in passing lol. He'll be at the head end but he's free to check out the business end if he wants to, I'm sure he will at the important bit. If at any point he tries to head off when I don't fancy it though I'll be sure to let him know!
