Someone mentioned to me that the more of a wiggle the baby is the more likely s/he is to come early. Well gosh my little man doesn't keep still not for a second, he's always wiggling around and kicking me. I even feel the kicks quite hard now when I'm walking around (he kicked so hard in Boots this morning I think the woman walking past thought my contractions had started  ) Anyway...any truth in that? I mean do babies who wiggle like crazy tend to be born earlier than ones who are not quite such a wiggle/kicker etc?

I don't know.
But from my own persoanl experience I would have to agree. Dan was forever kicking, moving, turning. He was always on the move. The night my waters broke (35+6) he moved the most he had ever done.
But could be just coincidence

I have no idea if there is anything in it either, I just know my little man is never, ever still so it kinda peeked my interest type thing. Will be interested to see now if I am early, on-time or late.

my LO has wiggly days and quieter days; i'm 36 weeks and counting!

Lately this little man hasn't stopped wiggling!

You can sit and watch my belly move for hours! So i hope it is true :)

Nathan was my most active baby and he was 5 days late. Jessica was really lazy in the last 2 months and was a week early so it wasn't for me.

I've no idea about that theory Nicola, but I do know I love our Little Man being such a wriggler, and he can still find room to kick when he wants too hehe Some people also say bigger babies are quicker and easier to birth too, I just think it's whatever will be will be, depends on who you ask :)

my LO is always moving... every since that trip to the hospital  not to long ago she was moving so much that i could feel her down there  it does not feel nice tho....

and she seems to push out her whole body when moving... that one is the worst :?

but i hope she won't be over due tho
i  she come at her right time

I didn't know if there was anything in that theory at all just spiked my interest being my LO is always on the move. Typically since last night he's actually been quite sill. I'm sure he'll come when he's good and ready and not a second before!!

Haha, I get that one! Although my LO is sometimes very quiet and sometimes very wriggly!

I can't think of any reasons why bigger babies would be quicker/easier to birth, unless its because they can help themselves out a bit!

don't think it's true

I spent nearly 3 weeks in hospital waiting for him as he wiggled so much he constanly changed position, he midwives even said that they had never seen a mover like him!

He eventually came out via elective section on his due date and was showing no sign of arriving early.

Good luck with it though, he could be an exception :)

I've just spoken to my Mum....she said it's a load of old trip too, that I was a wiggle and yes came 2 weeks early but my brother was the biggest wiggle of all and came on time, my sister was just as much a wiggle as I was and was also on time. So there goes that theory!!
