Luke is having a bit of a grumpy time in the evenings currently and we're looking for ways to try and calm him.

I found this website that offers white noise sound clips: http://www.calm-your-screaming-baby.com ... ounds.html

We found that Luke calms quickly when we vacuum. Obviously, we don't want to be vacuuming at 3:00am so we've downloaded those sounds and made up a CD.

We just tested one of the sounds and it calmed him in seconds. Lets hope it continues to do so. :D

Aww thats great!! Hopefully it continues to work for you. Lol Harrison used to fall asleep to the sound of the hoover, now it blooming scares him and he gets hysterical at it

Only the boob has the mystical properties involved in soothing our newborn to sleep :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

hoover works for little man too, but usually he doesn't scream during the night, just whinge

white noise this is really wierd cos amber always smiles at the tele when it comes on!!!

White noise works a treat for little ones, i downloaded hoover noises as well and they defintely helped.

Now the weather is getting better if hes a bit grumpy in the evenings why not get hi m ready for bed and take him out for a walk? the fresh air will knock him out - always worked for my son :D

The hoover scares Isaac too, he screams if he hears it
But on a night he has sounds of surf/waves playing, not sure if they help him but they are on

Is my LO the only one that actually LISTENS to white noise? :D  It keeps her awake

We have one of those snuggle bears that does several different sounds, one of which is the sea which Luke really likes. It's his favourite.
