Which formula do you use?

B is on Aptimil first milk. It seems to be running through her. I thought she may be lactose intolerant as she also started to get a rash when feeding (GP/pharmacist not sure what it is...!) but when I tried her on LF milk, she still got the rash.

Which formula do you use & how many dirty nappies do you get with it? B can go 3-4 times a day & I've changed 5 today. They all look & smell healthy but I'm think Aptimil may be too rich for her x

Sophia is on SMA 1 at the moment, I've considered that she maybe lactos intolerant as there has been a slight improve since we have been adding Colief to her feeds. She hadms a dry rash on her face and neck but it just seems to be a newborn rash/baby acne - looks slowly like it's improving. Sophia is quite a wheezy baby so we have tried a few things. She was on Cow and gate for her first 2 weeks - hated it! Then we tried SMA 1 this she likes but was sicky - I mean really sicky! Started using Colief - much better! HV advised trying a comfort milk at it has less lactose so we tried Aptamil comfort - she hated it and her feeding went off completely. Didn't like it at all.

So gone back to the SMA with Colief added atm! Sophia does very green poos which is what worried me, don't look normal! On the Aptamil they looked normal yellowy poo. Now back on SMA and green again! Sophia usually poos once a day on the comfort she went twice a day but on SMA usually once every 24 hours. She is always gassy though!

Wow Hun, you've tried them all by the sounds of it! I don't know what to try next, I was fed SMA & my hubby was C&G, not that I'm sure it matters!
Have rung my HV for advice as wondering of they can suggest anything x

I used hipp organic formula for Seb as everything else caused problems like constipation, rash etc

Charlie is on Sma Gold 1.. he has 1-2 dirty nappies a day, he has had no problems on it at all, Brooke was also on Sma after coming off her perscription milk.

O is on cow and gate and has one sometimes two normal pooey nappies a day

What sort of rash was it Helen? Brooke is getting it on her face, around her ears, neck, torso and then it goes as soon as she finishes feeding. I've seen two GP's who have no idea what's causing it & I've been told to see another child specialist on Monday.

We used sma gold with charley, he had reflux so was sick alot but otherwise was fine on it x x

We went from SMA to Aptamil - poos still the same, once a day, slightly more runny with Aptamil but not really bad still stays in the nappy.

Maisey was on aptamil at 1st and it was making her constipated so I switched her to SMA Gold she is drinking more and has a poo every day. When she was on aptamil she was having 1 poo a week and I literally had to strip her as she expoded I used to just chuck her clothes away as it used to go everywhere! I also use the ready made cartons as she will finish her bottle completely and not take forever to drink it. I have just moved her up to 6oz (she is 14 weeks on sunday)

Poppy was on Aptamil first up until a week ago when we switched her to Aptamil Hungry Milk. She has 1-2 dirty nappies a day, always very runny, always leak out of the nappy. HV told me it was normal x

Emily was on SMA gold for the first few weeks and then I changed to C+W comfort when she had colic and I still use it now. She used to get a rash on her face with SMA but I think it was just a little milk rash.

I used HIPP for Paige. Aptimal she was violently sick with, SMA she was pretty sick with and I didn't really try cow and gate because I tried HIPP and it seemed to settle her stomach and it was cheaper

I started off on Aptamil first milk, now she's on Aptamil Comfort first milk, it's an anti colic and constipation formula. It's worked wonders, she still has colic but seems to settle a lot better now and she's a lot less restless, she tends to have one dirty nappy a day x

we used c&g to start with with j and then e had serious reactions, terrible rash, vomiting permanent screaming, liquid poos that took 2 of us to clean him up and he had a cows milk protein intolerance and had prescrip formula Nutramigen. Now hes ok with milk and hes back on c&g (werll was he is now on regular milk) xx

Chloes on SMA GOLD and has had no problems at all just colic but dont think taht could be helped with change of milk xxx
