When your baby wakes in the night

Indeed, she's rocking these milkshakes haha

The turning the head towards the finger that strokes their cheek and try to root is a reflex Dosent mean that they need to eat.
Ofc tilly maybe was just hungry too lol but you can get that reflex from them even when they are full  unless they are really sleepy :p
It disappears at some point but I don't remember at what age. I have to check my books for that.
Glad your new routine is working
For tilly and mummy

Oh! That's interesting hope!

I didn't feed her last night, though she did wake up at 1.50am then 3.09am and it took me a good while to get her back off.

She never cried though, and she didn't turn her cheek either which is why I didn't feed her.

Glad it's going ok :) hopefully she gained some weight too. If not you should probably give her a feed during the night too? Though if she eats enough through the day is better for her reflux to not be fed at night as milk can reflux back very easy while she is sleeping.

I find out today what she weighs so we'll see. If she's losing or not putting on enough then I'll definitely feed her in the night again.

She still wakes up loads in the night which is really :wall:

Or if it's not her waking up it's her coming into light sleep and stirring and shuffling and grunting.

Unfortunately small babies sleep quite light. It has to do with their maturing neurological system. They are bombarded with millions of information every day, building synapses all day and processing all that information during the night. They dream quite a lot and they drift on and out of sleep all night.
Sth that you can try is to keep more interacting with her during the morning rather than afternoon? and have more relaxing activities for her at afternoons?
They usually start sleeping better and deeper later when their neurological system is more mature too. Until then I suppose we have to just live with 3 h sleep per night lol...

I thought it would be something like that. She's coming on loads lately, despite her problems, she babbles away at us and grabs things now. She's holding her head up well too.

I just have to manage on less sleep I guess lol. That or put her in the Nursery where I can't hear her. Haha
