Not that I'm looking forward to it, but when does morning sickness normally kick in? I'm almost seven weeks and so far no nausea - although my tummy already seems to be expanding!!

Thanks,

Lucy

u may be one of the lucky ones who doesnt get morning sickness hun

Hi,

I've had a bit of a sickly feeling but other than that nothing, and it seems to be getting better :D

Last time I think mine kicked in around 7 or 8 weeks but it was just nausea, no actual vomiting. Im hoping its the same this time!

Maybe youre just lucky and wont have any at all!

this time ive only been sick 2-3 times and that was around 7-9 weeks, with my son i was not sick at all but with my 2 daughters i was sick all the time from when i found out i was pg untill i was about 16-17 weeks lol

mine started middle of week 7 and is just starting to slow down a little now.

Last time I was desperate for some symptoms so was a bit relieved when the nausea started at around 7-8 weeks - but after a day of it I was already fed up and wanted to feel normal again! It lasted until around 16-17 weeks - mostly just nausea - was only sick a couple of times thank goodness - but the nausea is pretty grim and surprisingly tiring :( - hope I don't get any this time.

Lucy - you might not get any at all - not everyone does - fingers crossed!!

LBxx

I'm getting on for 12 and a 1/2 weeks now and I've been getting nausea since about week 7. No actual sickness but the nausea is crippling some days, especially when I'm on a day shift (6am-2pm).

And the normal things don't seem to help; I tend to find mildly spicy meats (pepperami, salami, chicken tikka) help more than carbs.. guess I'm just a freak

I was wondering the very same thing Lucy*

I'm sort of hoping I might avoid as its not going to be very convienient at work, but then I guess it never is!

Id say mine kicked in at bang on 7 weeks..feel awful havent been sick [thankfully] but cant eat what i usually do and just have no idea what to eat - everything tastes wierd lol !

I didnt suffer at all, you could be one of the lucky ones too!! :cheer:

Good luck xx

Donta always believe the old wives tales.. but i have to say my sister had about 4 days were she threw up... i threw up LOADS in the first trimester and i still have off days now...

she had a lil boy, im expecting a lil girl according to teh scan!!

Thanks for all your replies. Who knows, maybe I'll escape without it. I suppose at this stage I'm just looking for reassurance that I'm really pg - still feels a bit like I've made it up. Feel like I should be feeling worse than I do, LOL

Thanks,

Lucy

i think the old wives tale was right for me i was sick all the time with my girls but only had really bad headaches with my son!!
this time ive only been sick a couple of times but not sure if that was to do with being pg, but ive started to get really bad headaches again!!!

Trust me you'd still feel like you were making it up WITH morning sickness! I do!

Ive never actually had proper morning sickness with the vomiting but just the feeling that im going to be sick its a bit the same this time and i hope it stays like that coz im so pathetic if i voimt lol
