At roughly how many weeks is baby likely to stay in 1 position eg breech etc. I know they can turn at any point but just wondered if there's a stage were if baby is head down he's unlikely to turn back round? xx

i think the can turn almost to 40 weeks but i think they r likely to not turn after 37 weeks? noa has been same poss since 28 weeks tho x

my nephew decided to turn at like 38 weeks before that he was in the breach position x

Like Evelina said, it's around 36/37 weeks but my little man's been head down since 28 weeks x x

mine is moving all the time and now decided to kick my ribs :(

I'm just concerned cos my last son was undetected breech so ended up wiv an emergency c section instead of the natural birth I was expectin wen I walked into the labour ward. I'm havin growth scans at 28 weeks and 36 weeks so theyl know then which way he is layin but just prayin he goes and stays head down xx

I guess they could turn back round really quite late if you have had lots of kids as everything looser etc down there compared to a first timer - (pls don't take that the wrong way- I'm on number 4 too!)

Mine was head down at the 20 week scan, no idea since then, can a midwife tell at a 28 week checkup do you think, last one I had was 17 weeks

my friends baby had been head down for weeks she is due on Sun and had a late scan yesterday to check the placenta, it had been lying low, and the baby is bum first so she is in her 40th week and the baby moved round xx
