Hiya everyone, does anyone know when your meant to start showing?

Good question hun, I wanted to know that!!! lol

With my first I was around 20 weeks when I started to look pregnant not just fat, then with my second it was around 14 weeks.

From what I remember I didnt show until about 20 weeks too- your clothes will probably be loads tighter though and you will get sooo frustrated as you wont be big enough for maternity - i ended up buying bigger sizes for a while
:D

it all depends on your height shape and babys position,
I showed really soon with this pregnancy but with my first i wasn't showing until i was around 20 weeks.

About 20 weeks till you start showing but you will notice things like jeans tightening before that. Its infuriating waiting and then it gets so big you wish it was out and small again

first started at 14 weeks for me and was quite a cute little bump by 16 weeks!

I just looked fat at the start but now i have a nice big (sort of) bump. You can actually tell i am pregnant and not fat!

But i still cant wait for it to get bigger.

Same here.. I felt fat and frumpy looked like a barrel!! lost my waistline really early on at about 10 weeks but bump started forming around 18 - 19 weeks.. now at 25 weeks it looks like I have half a football shoved up my shirt!!!

My wife first started showing at between 12 and 14 weeks (being a sad male, I dedided to keep a photo diary of the 'bump').

There was a slight difference at 12 weeks (could've been a big sunday dinner) and a norticable difference at 14 weeks.

Hi well this is my first pregnany and i am showing already which is brilliant this week and last week it is starting to look more like a pregnancy bump rather then i was eating to much. So i am happy to say you can start showing at any time. x

I found that by i was 8 weeks i had to buy bigger sizes because my normal trouses didn't feet, but started having a little bump 3 4 months. may be a bit earlier well i thought i had a bump if no one else could see it

I'm still at the looking fat stage! Sometimes before I go to bed I look like I have a bump but its gone by the morning! I can't recommend getting a belly belt highly enough! It attatches to the buttons of your jeans and trousers so you can carry on wearing your normal clothes at this awkward stage. What's even better is that now I have the excuse of being pregnant I can also wear it with those trousers that fitted a bit snug before getting preggers and can breath in them!! :D

Hey skatty,

Where would you get a belly belt from? My wife would definately be interested in this.

I got mine from motherbliss.com but you can also get them on ebay :D

Yeh i've seen them actually, you can get them from top shop online, they have a maternity section, i'll invest in one when i'm a bit bigger, thanks everyone!!!!! :D

Guess who do really nice but cheap maternity wear.................................................................. New look i spent £55 yesterday on 5 tops 1 evening top a skirt and 2 bras!! they have lovely jeans in for £23 as wel much cheaper than top shop. Dorothey perkins also sells maternity things and for normal but comfortable clothes i have went to oasis and bought 3 long tops which i can where when i am massive as well................... just a suggestion to you all!

Thanks for the tip about New Look, I'm back in the Uk for a visit in a few weeks and really don't want to spend loads of money on maternity wear. H&M have got great strappy tops that have a longer bit at the front so cover your belly and they are only about £8 and they have them in black and white as well as some summer colours like turquiose. they are not maternity but should last well into mid pregnancy.
