its my first day alone today and i want to know when i can shower.. Is it ok to leave him in his bouncer in living room while i shower.. My showers take a while.. Washing hair, shaving and everything.. Ill have to learn to do it quick.. But is it still ok to leave them? x

I'd put him in his bouncer in the bathroom so you can at least still see/hear him in case he needs you x

Or in his moses basket in the bedroom and have the door open thats what i used to do. xx

I put the bouncer in the bathroom so I can keep an eye on him. When I first came home I only showered when he was asleep, I was sometimes in my pjs til 3pm, it was ridiculous! x

im in them now lol i really want to shower.. Ill put him in the bathroom with me.. Ill feel much more at ease where i can see him x

oh its a dilema isnt it. i remember getting dressed at 3pm many times!

firstly, shaving legs is something i do on weekends these days. I just dont have the time, i shower super quick. I tend to bring LO into my bedroom when I shower so I can hear him. as im brushing ,teeth i pop out and talk to him, he knows i pop in and out now but oh did he used to scream! Its awful showering listening to your LO screaming but if youre certain hes safe then theres no harm letting him cry for a few mins while you quickly wash.

It is fine to leave them as long as youve put them somewhere safe like on a bouncer strapped in. i tend to put a clean nappy on and feed him first so i know thats done.

it gets better. now morgan takes naps in the day at about 9.30 so i shower then. took a while though.

:hugs: it really will get better ! I used to take Aoibheann into my bathroom with me , but for the first while I didnt know what to do . Shaving my legs was a said before a weekend job :) . Now though because my little madam is lazy I shower before she wakes up at 8

i was thinking this myself,

ma mums said on many occasions NOT to take baby in the bathroom cos it will be to hot and steamy, but what happens when i wana shower once hubbys gone back to work after 2wks, would it b ok to take them in at a young age or like mentioned in moses basket or rocker in the hallway or bedroom?

im probs getting ahead of myself and will be to physically exhaused to go in the shower n get dressed and stuff, but its been playing on my mind for a few weeks now,lol

xxx

how about leaving the door open, and baby in the doorway? i used to bath when codie was asleep tbh

Lol Amy as long as they don't get too hot I wouldn't see why they can't go in a bathroom, if door is open it wont get too steamy, and if they have the sniffles they recommend them goin in a steamy bathroom so it helps clear their nose! I'm prob gonna put bouncer in bathroom when time comes lol x

i used to shower when they were asleep or napping and then when they were a bit older i just put them in their beds whilst i showered! E still isnt used to it now and cries, even tho i do it every single morning and have since she was tiny! now i've just started putting them in the playpen cos soon they'll be in big girls beds and god knows what i'll do once they grow out of the play pen!

When Sam was little I used to shower quickly while he was asleep in the mornings or if he was awake I'd take his bouncer into the bathroom and have a bath so I could talk to him while I was in there - he did scream a couple of times but I felt better knowing that he could at least see me. Toby used to sleep loads during the day so I'd put him in bed and just take his monitor into the bathroom with me, and have Sam in there with me too - it's easy now because they'll spend hours playing with piles of bubbles on the side of the bath or throwing plastic fish in at me
