When did your second baby engage?

So i'v been getting really sharp pains in my cervix for the past couple weeks and i know this could be signs the baby is starting to move down, but i thought that the majority of second babies don't engage till right before labour? My son didn't engage so don't know what it feels like

I've had this since about 30 weeks and at my last MW appointment she still wasnt engaged just really low in my pelvis, its to do with everything being alot looser than with ur first. I've heard and read that they dont normally engage til last minute too but it could be bubs geting ready there xx
