When did your children start to walk?

Kenzo is almost 14 months old but he's refusing to walk He hates trying. We try to encourage him but he doesn't like it. We're not too worried because he can stand against a surface, he can stand with aid, and his legs move very well, he knows how to use his feet etc. but he just won't take the step to actually walk.

I've heard that boys take longer to walk. Is that true?

Jack took his first step only a month ago. He still isn't 'walking' all of the time now although he can do it. Usually walks from one side of room to other but no further really He'll do it in his own time

my second (boy) walked at about the same give or take a day
my third (a girl) walked two days after her first birthday (xmas day!)
and my fourth (boy) walked at ten and a half months

i was 9 months though so i dont know if it runs in the family? my fourth was really determined though and was never still, he couldnt stand being restrained so he never had a babywalker he just started by going along the furniture.
