Levi is in a swinging crib but already his arms pretty much touch both sides. he has length still but not much width, he sleeps well in it so bit scared to try his cot yet but not sure if i should leave it much longer

Sprog went into a cotbed at a couple of weeks old because he was bashing his arms on his moses basket and keeping himself awake.

For the first couple of nights we put the moses basket in the cot, and him in it there, but he never realised anything was different anyway :rotfl:

From birth, i knew LO was going to be big so didnt see the point in a Moses basket for her.

Teddy went in his 2 nights ago and to be honest i wish i had done it sooner as he is much more settled at night with his arms out and loves his cot mobile! *If* i ever have another baby i probaly wouldnt even bother with a moses basket!

i think i may get the cot ready on monday, hubby is away till then :D

Been in his own room and cotbed since 2 weeks old - were going to sell the moses basket and if we have another, we'll probably not use it - Josh is much more settled in his on room

We moved my son at about 3 months when he outgrew his moses basket, and we have just moved Eden into hers this week, so she is almost 5 months x

about 3/4 months old, he could tip his basket over, so straight to the cotbed he went!!

Jess was in her cot pretty much stright away and Joe was in his in a few weeks. I started off though for a few days with the carrycot section in the cot where they would be lying. Then a few days later moved them out that and when I put them down I would take the mattress from the carrycot bit and lie them on that, in the cot. Then a few days later it was purely the cot.

i had a swinging crib for LO at newborn but by the time she was 4/5 weeks old she was hitting her hands against the bars and walking herself up, so i bought a cot and put her staright in it. didnt have a problem at all.. she still slept in the moses basket downstairs tho x :D

Amber slept in her cot for the first time last night and she was fine, a bit unsettled at first but once she realised she had loads more space to wriggle about she was happy!

6 weeks she was in her cot and own room. She kept whacking her hands on the sides of the crib (waste of £100 :wall: ). We all got a better night sleep as everytime she moved I woke up and every time I moved it woke her.

6 days.

Evie hated her moses basket so we moved her into the cot when she was less than a week- I remember thinking OMG she looks so tiny in it! :)

I had a crib with my first 3 and Joseph was in it till 6 months, Dillon 7 (poor lad but i had to try and keep him in there as long as poss with Joseph using the cot) Lucy was 6 months too! I loved my crib! I got a moses basket this time for a change lol and wish I didnt! :( Shes growing out of it now and will have to go into her travel cot for a few months before I move her to her own room!

Isla went into her cot for fisrt time last night...we finally got to sleep at 4am..
She was so unsettled..but this could just be coz she slept loads in day. I took her downstaors with moses basket which she fell asleep in and as I didnt want to disturb her, I stuck the basket in the cot..

Defeats the bloody purpose really...gonna see how she is tonight

Aimee was in her moses basket until she was 3 months old and then it was into the cotbed. She outgrew it quickly but I did always think the basket was smaller as she still fits into the basket at my parents house!

2months, the moses basket wouldn't have survived much longer
2 kicks and he was crammed uo at the top ans he was constantly bashing his arms on the sides. It shook like something manic when he had a hissy fit too :rotfl:

We'll be keeping Kai in his basket until he outgrows it :)

Connie was 8 weeks and we both agree we should have done it sooner.
