What ur baby will be calling others

Webhad this chat last night at my parents! Mum wants to be grandma and my Sis just her name, my aunt I gonna be aunt Anne and my dad grandpa. Mil and fil are gonna be nan and gramps. I as stuck tho what will baby call my grandma? Great grandma is such a mouthful

We have this issue as on hubbies side there is step parents!! Doing my head i already to be honest!! Lol!! I have a nana so i will just keep her as that as great grandma i think is too much!!!

My dad wants to be known as 'yoyo' it's apparently an abbreviation of the Spanish for grandad (we have no Spanish in us) he thinks he's too young to be a grandad!

my mum is is a pain and doesnt like the whole nan, grandma etc thing so took it upon herself to use the french equivalent which is "meme" (pronounced meh-me i believe) lol

i think its kinda cute. you could do the same or similar?

My boys call my Grandma either mamma or Grandma but will always write in cards and so on Great mamma or Great Grandma x x

My mum is Nana Karen, Liams mum was a PITA, she went all funny when i asked her what we could call her, said 'He can just call me his name (this was about Jasper) and I was like 'no D because you are ACTUALLY his grandmother! she said that 'made her feel old' and she didnt want any connetations about her age!! Some people have the weirdest thoughts go on in their heads! Jasper is going to think shes very old, thats the point of grandmothers ffs!!

In the end we settled on Nana D though she claims she 'hates' it but its sort of stuck now (her own fault i think) She did eventually say she didnt mind Omar, which is the South African name for 'Old Mother' which i do really like but Nana D has been used for a year or more now and i just dont think we can change it!

You could always use "G-G"? (for Great - Grandma) lol....

or if accepted with persons in question etc have yours and OH's Mums to be Nan,Nannie, Nanna etc (the "N"'s) and then have your grand-mothers to be Grandma, etc... becomes a bit more difficult though with the men... but Pops is another one that is used alot for grandads... which could also be used for great-grandad?

This was pretty easy for us as OH's family is more welsh than mine, so we've gone for OH's parents being Nain and Taid and my mum being Nana xx

Noa will call my dad morfar and my mum mummo, they are both married again n Noa will call there partners by name. My sisters will be moster follwed by name and all dembas friends here is auntie and uncle. His dad is grandad ansumaneh

I have 3 boys from a previous marriage and they call my mum and dad Grandma and Gramps.
My OH's kids who are 15 and 14 call his mum Nanny (as OH's dad died last year).

I call my Dad 'Dood' and 'Doogle' me and my Dad have our own silly language called 'Oogle' its silly but hes my best mate, my Mum just laughs but refuses to speak Oogle but will still answer some times by accident if a question is asked cos as much as she hates it she understands it so my point I'm not sure if he will call my Dad Grandood or Groogle haha, my Mum will be Grandma and my fellas parents will be just Grandma and Grandad x

I think my parents will be nanny (nan later) and grandad, although my mum likes papa (seems to be a Scottish thing).

OH's mum will def be Gran but not sure about his Dad. Will need to ask them!

Both mine & OH's Parent's are Nanny & Grandad to Jack. My Grandad is GG to all of his Great Grandkids and Jack will follow suit. My OH has a Nan but her Great grandkids all call her Nanny Iris so I guess Jack will too. I can't stand the woman though so could think of a few colourful names for her! hee hee x
