What toys do girls play with?

Just a random question really. I have 3 boys and the oldest 2 just play/played with cars or anything with wheels. Push them around, throw them, spin the wheels etc. Also footballs, they love balls, roll them around throw them.

What toys do girls play with at about 1 year- 2years? (i imagine they play with dolls after 2ish lol ) xx

But she also likes her kitchen, dollies, pram, her little hoover and anything musical

Evie loves her ball pool, her in the night garden mega blocks, her musical table (loves anything musical) and her vtech mobile phone xx

Jacob has shed loads of musical, lighty up toys but all he wants to play with is cars! I dunno if its a boy thing or a Jacob thing? I just randomly thought if boys play with cars, what do girls like.

Do you think boys like cars and girls like dolls coz thats what we gie them or because of their sex?? Thinking deeply now lol xx

Rosie loves her toys that make alphabet and animal sounds, she has a trolley of bricks that she pushes and builds with. She has lots of animals from the ELC that I am collecting for her, she makes the corresponding noises too! Selections of teddies and she has one dolly, most of all though she loves her books, she looks at them every day much more than her toys.

Summer has played with dolls from a really early age (think she got her first for her first Christmas (she was 7 months old)) so it's always been dolls, she used to have a kitchen, balls, painting and drawing things and soft toys. She's very much a girly girl though and has always been drawn to pink, glittery, pretty things (total opposite of me as a child, I loved Lego, mud, jeans and climbing as well as football and scalextrik)! I don't know where she gets it from!

Just remembered she had a vtech book thing that you put a story into and they press places on the page to make things happen. She loved that and her musical instruments x

That's a good question! I think when they're really little they'll play with anything you give them, Evie has a car type thingy and she plays with it and tries to make 'brum brum' noises but she also loves her teddies (she hasn't got a dolly yet).

Do you think when they get older that they just instinctively pick girl / boy toys? xx

My cousin has a brother and from a very young age he wanted girls toys. He's 21 now and as gay as they come, god my mind is boggling. Why do boys like blue and girls like pink?? xx

Ha ha!! It could go on forever!! I have a brother and no sisters, I used to play with my dolls but I also liked going out and riding his BMX and climbing trees and stuff too. I dunno about liking pink / blue as I'm not really a girlie girl so prefer blue to pink, but I buy Evie loads of pink stuff?? Maybe I want her to be a girlie girl?? My brother is younger than me and he was never into my dolls, only his cars and his bike and stuff xx

All three of my girls LOVE babies,prams and hand bags. They started to take interest around 10-11 months, and my eldest is obsessed,she has more then 30 babies and 5-6 pushchairs and twins tag along but they ALWAYS fight over bags.

Well I had two boys first and then a girl - I am also a tom boy myself and DO NOT wear pink!

My daughter born last is a real tomboy, football, pretend sword fights, dressing as batman, army games, lego, spud guns and will not wear a skirt if I paid her too! (think thats the nurture part)

But she also has something in her personality that likes baby dolls and animal hospital , any little plastic animals and barbies and bright pink beach shoes!!! (thats the nature bit)

I was a right tom boy until I was 19 and never ever wore pink - then I got my first car and it was pink and since then I loved everything pink!

My sister was a complete girly girl and had dolls and stuff, She also had lovely long curly hair until I took her under the table to play hair dressers!!! My mum wasn't impressed!!

Ha Your'll be there soon Bonny!! My son did the same in the night to my daughter ,with yes - Plastic sissors off a comic!! and cut all her hair off !!
I cried whern I saw her , all my kids were bald at birth and took 2 years to start growing any hair!! then when it finally got to pony tail length , he cut it off! for 18 months he got no pocket money till it grew back to the length that you wouldn't nottice!!!

I just saw pics on FB of my brothers daughter and her DIY hair cut!!
Imagine one side long and ringlet curls - and the other side cut to just below her ear!!! She now has a short bob!!!

My brother cut my hair off when I was about 6. It was down to my bum before he hacked it off to shoulder length, my mam was trashed about it xx

Lacey only plays with car's, diggers, anything boy related!! I brought her a dolly and she just wasn't intrested! She only plays with boys too, she says she doesn't like girls!! lol
