Was talking about having a January baby today and someone remarked how "depressing" it is to have a January Birthday  (she is born Mid Jan so possibly has a point)

It led me to try and think of some positives.

For Beatrice the main positive is the January sales - all her pressies can be bought nice and cheaply so she can have more
Also it is lovely to have something to look forward to in an otherwise quite bleak month.
It was also lovely to have her at that time of year because it meant I could have a good few weeks snuggled up indoors with her before the weather got better *that's not really a positive for every year though, as much as I'd love an annual hibernation*
Also at least by the time the weather is nice baby will be in a good routine and we can go out and make the most of it *again this isn't a benefit for every year*

James is a bit easier as although he is a winter baby too his Birthday marks the countdown to Christmas for me. Christmas is my Fave time of year ever.

There are so many lovely events around James' Birthday. Before the Birthday we have Halloween, Bonfire night and then after the festive period begins.

He also shares his Daddy's Birthday so that is another reason I love it.

Lets hear about your baby's Birthdays!

14th June! 1.. its easy to remember (not that I would forget but men...) 14/6/14
2.. Its pretty much the height of the British summer.
3.. its half way through the year.. So 6 months xmas.. 6 months birthday.

=) otherwise im not sure!.. my birthday is in August so always loved the fact id never be in school for it! June doesn't fall in that category =( x

Lol. I'm June 17th and have always loved my birthday being midway through the the year and generally quite warm (although as an adult and planning drinks outside at that time of year you would be amazed how much it actually rains!!!)

X

Jack's is 20th June so it's usually warm which makes Birthday parties easy. Bouncy castle and a BBQ in the garden.

Harry's is 2nd March. I love that he shares my Birthday month, mine is 10th :)

Nothing about nov!! Dark nights, miserable weather yuk!! But I don't care what month as just glad to have my baby ;)

Ha sorry I had nothing positive!! Summer babies would be fab - Id love to have bbqs and garden parties :) x

22 July for my little girly!!

1) she was born same day as Prince George so that'll always be fun for her!

2) Summertime so hopefully opens up more opportunities for party's outside (wishful thinking maybe!)

3) when she starts school it will always be either the last week of school (so lots of fun assemblies and sports days etc) or they will has just broken up for summer!

Love this thread! X

My eldests birthday is a week before my brothers and he was actually born a day before my brothers due date. This baby will be born within a week of my birthday. So as weird as it sounds I like the idea that I had my kids around the same time of year my mum did.

Other than that, I like having both birthdays in the spring. Although when we brought my son home from the hospital it was freezing and snowed for a week.

24th February...

1- exactly a week before my birthday
2- we share the same star sign
3- beautiful birthstone

Joel was supposed to be Jan but just slipped into feb (1st) so same difference really. For me january/feb used to be depressing but having his birthday will give us something to look forward to now once the excitement of christmas has gone. Plus of course pressies in jan sales!

I have a January birthday and, apart from being ill with colds a lot on my birthdays, I love that there's something to look forward to after Christmas!

My daughter has a February birthday and my son a November one. Can't think of many good things about a winter birthday - in fact we were talking a few weeks ago about giving them both a second birthday in the summer, like the Queen!!!

Ooh, GF91 - our daughters share a birthday!

Early Jan baby - won't be one of the youngest in his school year.

Disappointed to have missed 1/1/15 and 5/1/15, with a date of the third!

Harper just missed having her birthday as 11/12/13, which would of been cool, instead being born on the 10th dec.

Not much I really like about harpers birthday in December. I feel christmas kinda takes the fun out of it somehow and will restrict on what kind of party she can have. Thankfully it's not too close to Christmas Day. X

My eldest is the end of December in between Christmas and New Year. The good things are that we can just about get some presents in the sales, and he's not the youngest in the year unlike his brother whose an August baby so will be the youngest! My hubby loves the fact that both boys won't be in school for the birthdays - so he doesn't have to pay out for a party! X

10th Feb: she shares it with my late dad's birthday who she never met.
It's near the end of winter and little signs of spring appear.

10th November: nothing overly positive yet as all I have experience of is looking after a newborn and toddler after a c-section and all of us catching some form of cough/cold or bug. Not the best memories other than the joyful arrival of our little girl. I am looking forward to her bday being near Halloween/Guy Fawkes etc though!

21st January - sales sales sales!

I love shopping and I've realised I love shopping for Caleb even more than for myself!

I have a January 23rd and agree the sales make that great. She is all grown up now but it's still fun. Oliver was 16th august so middle of the year and again the gaps between Christmas and birthdays is good also being able to plan a birthday party in a zoo :) my next baby is another winter bubba and due November 16th and can't think of anything good lol xxx

Noah is July..
Apart drom it being a mega busy month with loads of other relatives birthdays.. ITS SUMMER!!
Im hoping when hes in school we can still manage parties with school friends before they all break up and head off on their summer holidays. When the UK is kind we also get some lovely weather!
Being roughly middle of the year i feel i can prepare myself (already booked his party and made a wishlist of presents on amazon ha!)

Next id love a spring baby.. And no3 a sept/oct baby haha.. see what mother nature brings x
Xx

My son is November, the only positives I can think of is that it's near beginning of school year which is supposedly advantageous. It signifies the lead up to Christmas and shares the same month as bonfire night.

This baby could be born in March/April/May and I chose to have a Spring baby as it'll be born just when weather gets good so hopefully some sunny and chocolate filled birthdays ahead.
