What do you have left to buy?

we have a spreadsheet too :) although ours is potential buys & comparisons for prices etc. only since nothing's bought yet! not buying too many big things, got a built in wardrobe in the baby room so hoping that we can get away with mostly using that for shelves & hanging so pram/travel system should be the biggest expense

nowt wrong with a spreadsheet! I've got lists galore! I have an infantry of everything we have including clothing & in what sizes -everything is currently organised in bags by size so can wash it in that order.
I have a tick list for my hospital bag & the babies hospital bag. I also have lists of what still needs to be done
on my part & oh part.helps to be organised.

Oh it's definitely helped me to be on top of everything and have it all written down. I also have an infantry of clothes (what type they are and sizes) and they're in drawers or hung up in the wardrobe according to size

I just need to work out which washing tablets/conditioner are suitable for baby's, so I can get some with the shopping and get the clothes washed!

Going to start working on my hospital bags/birth plan over the next couple of weeks. Is there anything specific you're buying for your hospital bags? Clothes wise we only have 2-3 things which are 'Newborn' size. Until the midwife gives us an estimation on weight/size, then we'll go out and buy more of the first size we'll need - she reckons we'll have a big baby because I'm big (is that how it even works?!), so we didn't want to buy newborn clothes that may not fit!

I think it's wishful thinking but I've got body suits & baby grows in up to 7.5lb & 10lb. Just cheap white ones as we are team yellow. The midwife warned us to not take too many fancy outfits to hospital due to possible poo incidents meaning we may just want to throw bits away if too messy! I've got a nice going home outfit in both sizes too though. Otherwise pretty standard, blanket, towel, nappies, water wipes, mittens, hat, booties for baby. I've got a few bits for myself.. Treated myself to some disposable pants!

Im struggling to decide what to pack for baby. I have some old neutral items from ds so was going to take those with me initially I wanted her to have something pink but im going to try and find what ds worr in his first pic

I'm going into town this weekend so I might see what Primark have in Newborn sizes, just to have some ready. Although I'd love to have a fancy outfit for them to come home in, not knowing how big they'll be and the risk of them getting very dirty very quickly, I'd much rather take something as cheap as possible with us then dress them more nicely once home!

Hi ladies i had a big baby at 9lb6 and the newborn vests and sleepsuits were absolutely fine. In fact hes still in that size now at 5 weeks! I also didn't bother with a fancy going home outfit, just a sleep suit and nice cardigan.

When I say going home outfit it is just a babygrow & cardi but just a bit nicer than a plain white one. X
