What accent do you have?

i've not really got one anymore

From somerset, but never really had a broad accent anyway...unless i'm back in somerset for any length of time and am pissed!

Been living in Edinburgh for 4 years, so i dont really hear the edinburgh accent any more (shame cos it was one of the first things that attracted me to DH...his deep edinburgh accent...yummy!) The one thing i have picked up is lots of scots slang...very handy when i'm down south

Have you noticed everyone in Wales says "Lush" - I do it too, but I always notice it!!

I thought it was just me that noticed that lol, ive started saying it too

Yeah...i hate the word "Lush" tho - i refuse to use it!!! (Shame on you GGG  )

My parents are from the valleys so they are really welsh although since they moved away years ago their accents have softened but when my Mum is on the phone to my auntie it's hilarious - she's proper Welsh again! :rotfl:

I always tease my DH, he is Cardiff born and bred and they seem to have their own accent - he pronounces Cardiff as Caaaadiff

BTW - No offence to anyone welsh or from Cardiff, i'm just pointing out the differences in accent :D

I was born & bred in Wigan but lived in Bolton for 8 yrs before moving back to wigan 2 yrs ago so have the sort of accent Peter Kay has I guess. Only I sound like a girl :rotfl:

I am deeply ashamed of my use of "lush", believe me, every time it slips out I think "oh fook, I sound about 12  " :rotfl:

Mine tends to vary, have been asked before if im from london area but about 45 miles so not that far. The thing i keep doing but cant stop myself is when im talking to someone with a strong accent i tend to pick it up in minutes its really annoying and i cant stop myself from doing it. I would say its prob essexish come hertfordish im not explaining myself very well am i? lol  xx
