What accent do you have?

east midlands which just sounds common *cringe*
I do sometimes put my neutral accent on

I'm from county Durham in the North East. My accent is like a mixture of Geordie and something that no one can place. No matter where i go in the world people ask me if im from Newcastle.

I'm from Glasgow but have lived in England for 8 years so my accent has softened. My hubby is Yorkshire and both our accents have rubbed off on each other a bit

mines a Northern, Yorkshire accent, when my dad was going with someone from Barnsley (next to Sheff) she said i had such a broad Yorkshire accent and i talked really fast - but no1 from Sheffield has ever said that to me so im not sure? LOL :D

I have a strange accent...

I'm originally from Birmingham but don't have the accent very strongly until I speak to my friends or family there, even then not as strong as them.

DF speaks posh as he's a scandi lad who had lived in SW London for 9 years so is English is very proper and gramatically correct :rotfl: and now I live in Oxford so a nice combination of the lot!

See if you can work it out :rotfl:

I'm a bit scouse. I live so close to liverpool and OH and his family are all from Liverpool and it rubs off. I can't tell myself but when we travel people always think i'm a scouser.

Mines BBC English (from kent) with an australian lilt from my mum, and occasionally I revert back to childhood with the "nowaddimeeeeeeen" :rotfl:

People back home say ive picked up a slight welsh accent but I cant hear it - that would be a strange mix!

I'm originally from Cheshire so i think my accent is a bit posh with a northern lilt (which apparently gets stronger after i've had a drink! )

But I have lived in Wales for 3 years now so sometimes when i speak i think it sounds really taff! (Ta-ra love :rotfl: )

Oh and "I'll be there now" is something I keep saying that I couldnt make sense of when I first came here, dont you mean "I'll be there soon?" lol

I'm from Aberdeen, but a farming background so it's a bit doric when I want it to be!!

Aye aye, fit like? Just chavin awa! :rotfl:

I totally know what you mean... my mum was from the Cardiff area and I slip into the welsh accent whenever I am down visiting family or on the phone to them!!
Have you noticed everyone in Wales says "Lush" - I do it too, but I always notice it!!

I thought it was just me that noticed that lol, ive started saying it too

I'm from Dublin. I've lived in the UK mostly North Herts for the past 18 years (since I was 21) but still sound like I came over in the last wind. My accent gets even stronger when we go back home or even if just speak to my family on the phone.

My DH is from Herts, his mum and dad are originally eastenders so think the Dublin accent might calm down a bit but after 18 years its fairly unlikely. My DH has certainly picked up some of my expressions. :cheer:

A standard London accent. Not posh though, just normal, not cockney either.

ooo... do you know what i hate! when americans try and do english accents on tv/films! :x it just sounds all wrong

like scarlet johannson, johnny depp (well maybe we can forgive him lol) mel gibson bein scottish, renee zellweger as bridget jones, the list is endless!!!!
