This was this mornings OPK with second morning urine.

We managed to do the dance this morning...I don't know about you ladies but my gosh I honestly do not enjoy baby making sex. It's so stressful because I worried if DH would be able to finish and he can't enjoy it because I don't enjoy it...lol what a mess! We did have a good conversation afterward so we're not upset with each other.

Hopefully this will do it because we are both knackered! Me emotionally and DH physically. I really admire him, he always looks as cool as a cucumber!

So, I think it is safe to say that tomorrow will be 1dpo! I've been crampy today, really tired, metallic taste out of nowhere (I never have that), think milky CM, slight headache and really emotional. All good signs of Ovulation. Happy as a clam!

I've read that sperm needs at least 10 hours to 'mature' - they basically go through a phase where they adjust to the vaginal conditions so that they can successfully fertilize the egg. What neat information!

Looks promising kat! I think ive missed the boat. We dtd saturday but had positive opk at 1pm today and the negative at 6pm.felt cranps this pm too so think i ovulated this afternoon. I think dtd tonight will be too late! Could kick myself not dtd last night now....i only got a high on cb fertility monitor this morning so was supposed to be starting tonight! I cant believe how quickly i ovulate after lh surge....think older women do tend too! Hope everyone else has better luck than me this cycle! To top it all off, someone at work announced pregnancy today...i was very upset when i got email as it should have been me announcing it around now as i would have just had my 20 wk scan if i hadnt had my mmc! Oh well at least i can have a glass of wine over xmas!

You aren't out yet hun! You dtd on Sat..you ovulated today...that's a 2 day gap if you can dtd tonight. You definitely stand a chance this cycle! I read a bucket load because we dtd on Friday, I ovulated today (I think somewhere between 7:30am and 2pm) - that's roughly a gap between bd of 3 days.

we can do this!!!! Soon it will be our turn to announce our and this time, you will have a sticky little bean hun

I dont suppose you lovely ladies know how long does it take egg to travel/be ready yo meet sperm? Im sure egg released yesterday afteroon. We dtd around 9pm last night. I know it can take a while for swimmers to reach egg so wondering if there is any chance? Thanks

Well, the people in the little white jackets with the thick rimmed glasses says that sperm can take up to 6hrs to travel to meet the egg, it takes roughly ten hours for them to mature enough to be able to fertilize the egg. The egg is released aprox 12-36hrs after a + OPK and can stay alive for 12-24hrs (in which this time the sperm needs to fertilize the egg). Then it takes about 3-5 days for the egg to travel down to the uterus and implantation happens anywhere between 6dpo to 10 dpo (you can have implantation earlier or later of course, we are all unique) xxxx

Here here! It inspired me to read around ovulation bleeding/spotting....its a sign of fertility....but i guess ovulation can be cant it anyway?

My OPK is for sure a + lol FF moved my O day to tomorrow so DH and I decided to dtd tomorrow morning when he feels a bit more relaxed OH YAY!!!!


Light pink spotting with O indicates a good strong O so this is a very VERY good sign indeed Melly!!! Oh my goodness I can't wait until the start rolling in for December!!!
