i have found from previous cycles that i don't get much ewcm- 1 day if i'm lucky so i have been checking my cm so that i don't miss it!! thing is i was wondering if we've bd the night b4 aren't i just bringing out left overs on my finger and therefore reducing my chances of conceiving if i happen to ovulate within the next few days??!! find it very confussing!
xx

If you're going to the loo about a half hour after you bd you should be getting rid of most of the extras, especially if you do some kegel exercises. With practice you can tell the difference between ewcm and seminal fluid. SF stretches, but breaks quite easily, and EWCM will be very stretchy.

if it was leftovers you were bringing out it would be bad swimmers etc as the rest wouldn't be within reach (maybe) and also the amount you would get would be so small compared to the number that went in anyway.

Sorry - in my morning haze I didn't read the question properly. If you stay lying down for 30 minutes after bd-ing, all the good swimmers will have a chance to get where they need to go, so like roseanimal said, all that will be there is the poor swimmers and deformed sperm that you don't want up there anyway. :D

thanks guys- so even if i havn't ovulated yet and therefore not 'open' the little fellers make there way in rather than staying around the cervix for me to pull out??!!
xxx

i find that when i am at my most fertile the CM holds most of the little spermies anyway so i dont get much leftovers apart from when i go the toilet awhile after BDing.

like everyone has said, the swimmers know where they are going and only the strong make it! the others go down the toilet!! LOL

I've had 1 day of ewcm and was worried about the same thing. I ended up checking 3 times that day to make sure it was still there. But then ewcm is new for me so I was sure it was something else. I was amazed at how well it stretches so you can see the difference.
