I have my first sweep next week and this is my first baby so excuse me if this sounds stupid but so far all my mw appts have been at the surgery, I have been told I will get a call on mon to confirm what appt I will get my sweep and if it will be at home or at hte medical centre its not my normal midwife so my q is if they come to the house where will they expect to do the sweep??? Do i need to have anything to hand?

I had my sweep at the hospital but my friend had hers at home and they just took her up to a bedroom to do it and the midwife will have everything she needs! x

Just make sure you have some antibacterial handwash in the bathroom so they can wash their hands before (even though they will use gloves too), but they'll bring anything else they need :)

I had one at home. Didn't ned to prepare really. Just in & out and done lol x

Hey hon, I had one at home - well an attempted one but I hadn't dilated so couldn't do it - and she asked me to lie opn a towel on the bed, no other prep needed. Good luck - hope it works!!! x x x
