did anyone ever have weird dreams when their LO went into their own room? Cahal's been in his own room for 3 weeks now, and is perfectly happy in there, in fact he probably sleeps better in there than he did when he was in with me and OH, but I keep on having really bad anxiety dreams!!

They're been gradually getting worse to the point where I woke up last night half way down the bed rummaging around under the quilt looking for him - it took me a good 10 seconds or so to really wake up and remember what I'd actually done with him (obviously he was sound asleep in his cot in the nursery!) and I was so shaken by how it made me feel that I then couldn't get back to sleep.

Anyone else get this? Any tips on how to get over it?!

Yes I had this and tbh still do, some not very nice :( not as bad as now ...

xx

Yep I got these too when DD went into her own room and, like Wobs, occasionally still do and she's 6!!!! I think it gets easier the older they get x we've been settling Seb into his cot (he usually sleeps in bed with me) as I was poorly last week and OH had to do 2 nights of night feeds and I won't let him kip with Sebastian on his side and we've stuck to putting him in his cot and I have those dreams now and again when he's in his cot in our room so goodness knows what I'll be like when he's in a room on his own!

oh good grief yes a number of times I woke OH up by ripping off the duvet looking for him. I had dreamed that he was in my arms then thought Id fallen asleep and lost him in the duvet  its passed though, I havent done that for about 4 weeks now. Morgan sleeps better in his own room too.

I hope it passes soon, it's really doing my head in! Last night OH got up to go to the loo and woke me up in the process but I was still half asleep and started trying to explain why LO was in bed with us - Steve was like er.....he's not there!? It was at that point I realised he was in his cot safe and snug. Every night for about 2 weeks now, it's driving me insane :looped:
