I have finally washed our baby clothes!!!

We are convinced little one will be early so thought I best get on the case.

For team yellow we do have a lot of stuff but think I need some more blankets.

I am assured now though if little one arrives we do have everything we need.

Love you bambino x

Well done you, lovely and prepared! I've washed some of ours but not all. We need blankets too! Although to be honest I'm not sure how many we will need!
I've just started making sure we have all the bits we need for when baby arrives so that we'll be ready! x x

This is gonna sound so silly, but when you wash LO's clothes for the first time, do you just do it the normal way or do you handwash them? Obviously they'll need to be separated cos I have a lot of bright colours as well as whites and creams, but are there any other special instructions?
Tbh I didn't even know they needed to be washed first but I'm assuming this is so that it doesn't irritate LO's skin? So much to think about!! xx

So all my stuff is at my mums a si will be staying there for a week when i get out of hospital with baby and weve started to wash our bits aswell, mum got a sensitive washing liquid and weve been using that to wash all her stuff in.... its exciting stuff x

I can't wait to wash all my stuff! I need to clear out some drawers first though... I think I'm going to try and find a natural washing liquid to use x

I have to be honest I used our own washing products that I would usually use. Sorry if that makes me a bad mummy eeek! x

It doesnt make you a bad mummy at all hun, when DD was a baby i still used my standard washing powder and she was fine with that, never irritated her skin or anything xx

It is so it doesn't irritate the skin yeah.
I did mine the normal way but on a slightly gentler wash than normal.
They look so cute hung out on the line!
No special instructions, just seperate as normal.
My main tip is to count socks and mittens as you put them in the machine and as you take them out. It makes it easier to work out if the naughty machine has eaten any!
X

Thanks deedee84, the mother-in-law said the same to me so I just went on her advice :) x

I don't think it matters what washing liquid you use at all, but I just prefer to go natural if I can. Downside is that it doesn't smell as fresh! x
