Hi

I just went to the bathroom and once I was done, I felt another lot come out, but it didnt feel like it was normal urine, it actually felt like it came out somewhere different to when the pee does! Does that make any sense??? While it was happening, I used my pelvic floor muscle and was able to stop it and it didnt start up again.

I got told that if it is your waters you wouldnt be able to stop it.

So it could have been my waters?? Or not??

Hmm I'm not sure hun. If it was your waters I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have been able to stop it but I could be wrong. Sometimes when I'm on the loo having a wee and I think I've finished a little bit more comes out, perhaps where bubs is squishing my bladder. Maybe someone else could clarify.

Yeah I have had it before where I had more urine once I stopped. But this felt very weird - quite a different sensation.

Maybe I should just lie down for half and hour and then get up and see if it pools??

Sounds like a good idea. Keep us updated hun x x

I had something similar a week or so back and the midwife advised me to put on a BRICK of a maternity pad, lie down and get up in half an hour- if you 'gush' it probably was your waters, otherwise not.

Hope it was! :cheer:

Well from my experience this morning I would do what debecca said. I got up to pee and thought I'd wet myself  but it kept coming! When it stopped I called m/w who said to put on a pad and if it was soaked in an hour or so to call back - it was soaked in 5 minutes and then the floor when that gave out!

If you lie down for a while and get up it might do what mine did and come out in a gush. I feel a bit like that incontinent wifey from Little Britain :rotfl:

:rotfl: I'm not gonna even bother putting on a pad if my waters break. I think sitting on a pile of towels would be more appropriate.

I agree with what the others have said, keep an eye on it and call if it keeps dripping

Agree with that - no pad could cope with the tsunami I was faced with this morning. The boots standard (not the thin ones) maternity pads were absolutely bloody useless.
