Hi everyone

My husband and i have recently been aprroved for nhs funding at CARE Manchester for egg donation.
Im 34 but went through an early menopause at 20 due to cancer treatment.

We received a letter from CARE a few days ago and our first appointment is on 5th november.
Im a bit confused, the letter said we are on the waiting list already, is that normal?
I thought we'd have to see them first.

Also, any info on what we can expect from the first appointment would be great, im really nervous  xxx

Cannot give any advice but wanted to wish you good luck.
Every time I've been to the fertility clinic I've thought how much easier it would be to start a co-op or something. The people with the eggs helping the people without and same with the people with sperm! Lol

Hi! We did egg sharing at a private clinic in Sussex. I was on the list in April, offered a donor in December and pregnant (after 5 years!) by the following April! It was quite quick after such a long journey.
Good luck and I would be happy to answer any questions you have! :)

From what I have read and know only IVF clinics abroad (Czech Rep, Poland and others) offer no waiting lists for IVF DE.
