Hi ladies,

My husband and I have been advised that ivf is our best chance of conceiving but now we have to wait and see if our nhs funding is approved, I just wondered how long it took you girls to find out? I struggle to cope with the two week wait let alone a wait with no expected end date.

Xx

Hi. It's a bit of a lottery I'm afraid, depending on your postcode.

We were referred in August last year, we had a letter at the beginning of March (which was dated 16 Jan!) telling us we had been accepted. I rang the hospital yesterday and they told me not to expect an appointment until July or August this year! I know that some of the girls on here have been seen much quicker though.

Good luck!

Oh my goodness, that is way longer than I thought!! I, bettor can't wait For July to arrive now x

So had a call to say it had been rejected as not being Ttc long enough but the professor has already sent in an appeal on my behalf as the requirements here have changed to one her Ttc I'm at 2 and a half!! Xx

Mine was very quick!

We went to Doctor who said she would refer us in October 2014 after trying to almost a year ( I am over 35 ). Had to do a couple of blood tests and the actual referral was sent end of December 2014 and I had my first appointment with the NHS IVF consultant in March 2015 so all in all from them sending the referral letter to an appointment less then 3 months!

We would have started IVF perhaps May/June 2015 but found out I had hyperplasia so had to postpone. The good thing is that once you have the funding its there "for ever".

Thanks you, we have been approved now so just waiting for appointments :)
