They will probably induce labour similar to what they did with me (i found out my little girl was dead at 23 weeks) i wrote a delivery story, there is a link in my signature, incase you are wondering what it is like and what will happen to you x

I really feel for you i do, but you have made the right decision, a baby who is not formed properly will not have the best life and it will also ruin your life in the long run.

Sorry you have had to make this awful decision, its terrible. There is a wonderful section on miscarriage and loss where a lot of us talk about the feelings we have after the delivery and how it has affected us

the 12 week scan is a dating scan, so size of baby (which there wasnt a problem with) heartbeat etc

the 20 week scan is an anomoly scan so the look at the kidneys, heart, they can see the brain properly etc... thats what its for

in the 12 week you wouldnt see any of the problems the OP mentioned, the baby is too small.

The 20 week scan is more extensive. The baby is small at 12 weeks and certain things haven't fully developed at that stage. This includes functioning etc.

To the OP, once again I'm so sorry for your news. You are a brave woman and I hope the drs look after you.xx
