Twins chat 2016/17!

I washed stuff really early - just in case x

I have the Mountain Buggy Duet, it's great! Haven't bothered with the carrycots though, have used the car seats or just put them in the pram seats lying flat

Yeah, it's just my mum being a pain. She also enjoys telling me that she didn't buy a pram for my sister until she was 6 months old... real helpful because I'm having twins so I can't really just use a sling for 6 months, unless I want to break my back and use one of those wrap things.

I got the city mini jogger double in purple, to add to the pushchair convo.

Haha all mums have those moments I'm at the point where I just look at my mum and point at my boys and say "twins mum, when you have mastered it you can talk" I think she finds it amusing though x

Hi girls
I've been feeling unorganised living at the inlaws and had a sort through what we have for babies when they come, I've made a list, does this all sound about right or am I missing anything essential ??

Car seats - sorting out next week

2 Moses baskets & stands
2 baby bouncers
2 playmats
Perfect prep machine
Tommee tippee steriliser starter kit
Spare steriliser (given to us for free)
Twinz feeding cushion
Changing bag
Pram
Baby carriers
8 x 150ml feeding bottle
8 x 260ml feeding bottle
4 extra slow flow tests
Milk powder dispenser pots
Baby monitors
5 normal blankets
2 cellular blankets
2 flat sheets for Moses baskets
(Have ordered some fitted Moses / pram sheets )
Hooded bath towels x 4
Ewan the dream sheep
Sophie the giraffes
Plastic baby bath
Grow egg

Nappies
Water wipes
Nappy sacks
Cotton pads
Infacol

Does that sound about right? I have some clothes for the hospital & when we know the gender & their weights we will get some more x

Awwww the grow egg x that brings back memorys!!!

Bibs, hats, scratch mittens, formula if you are bottle feeding and liquid pre made formula for the hospital. I think you have covered the essentials, anything else you can get as and when you need x

What are people with unborn twins putting on Christmas cards? Seen 'from ****, **** & bump' & I have been asked about 'the bumps' but it's not really 2 bumps! 'Unborn twins' is too Social Services! SIL used to put the nickname of her foetus but we just call ours the twins or the boys but that implies they are born! Really don't know what to put!

I usually put "From xxx, xxx + 2" and then draw two little smiley faces with a squiggle of hair with a bow in it (because we know they are girls, but I guess you can put a bow tie for boys haha)

If they have names you could put those, otherwise maybe 'the expanding (insert surname) family' or 'the growing twins' or 'pending boys' x

I had a short list but DH only liked one of them! We went through the whole names book but didn't find any we liked! Hoping when they are born it will come to us!!

Mrs B, when one twin wakes up hungry, do you wake up the other and feed them both? Or just let the other sleep until he wakes up hungry?

My sister with her boys always woke both maybe within 10/15 mins of each other so they were in time for each feed. X

Serious hats off to twin mummies who get to and go beyond 38 weeks! I'm already struggling lol!

When they had night feeds if one woke we woke the other, and during the day they are both like clockwork and get fed together. Luckily we don't have night feeds anymore x
