KatD I think I ovulated last week seemed to have cm but also seem to have some now?? I don't know how to tell by cervix position. Just totally baffled. I'm going to pay more attention next month and think I'll go back on fertility friend. Last week I seemed to have more 'symptoms than this week. I woke in middle of night with terrible pain in my tummy which didn't last very long then disappeared. Have been having waves of sickness feeling and upset tummy. This week tho hardly anything except when I wake. I always find when ttc I'm wishing my life away. Wishing for ovulation day, wishing for precise time to dtd, wishing for 2ww to end, wishing for a bfp. Before I know it I'll be bloody 50!xx

Jiss that is SO true!!!! I try and remind myself to just calm down and enjoy this whole TTC adventure, but I'm struggling to see it as 'enjoyable' - none of it is, least of all the sex.
Cervical position is a bit tricky, I still struggle with it and I don't really do it because I am afraid of infection. The normal way to do it is to remember to do it the same time each day. I stand by the bathtub and place my one leg on the edge of the bath. If you look at your middle finger (which you will be using: just make sure your nails are trimmed and that your finger is clean)you'll notice it consists of three parts. The tip, a middle and then the top part. That will be how you measure the position of your cervix. If you stick your finger into your vagina the tip will be low, the middle will be well the middle and the top part will be considered high. Now the texture of the cervix is when you gently press your finger against it, if it is the same texture as the tip of your nose it is hard, your chin = medium and your cheek = soft. The next part is somewhat tricky, my cervix always seems slightly open so it can take some time to tell the difference. If you gently brush over your cervix you'll feel the little opening. Usually the pattern is like this;
During AF - LOW / HARD / CLOSED
Pre-Ovulation - MED / MED / MED
OVULATION - HIGH / SOFT / OPEN
After O - some women might find that after O you cervix will drop back down, others will find that it might take a few days to drop down. I don't bother checking my cervix as an early pregnancy sign because a lot of changes takes place if you are pregnant and that is long after you get your bfp using a pee stick.
It will take some practice so don't stress if you can't figure it out in one cycle xxxx

I feel 50 already we were just talking about that yesterday. We need to live in the moment again although it's hard. I'm feeling really obsessed with baby stuff but it doesn't help I'm surrounded by people who are having babies. Then I've to go shopping for gifts too xx

I know what u mean LuckyLaura, it's so frustrating. Especially when your not telling people your TTC! When I'm feeling a twinge of jealousy I just try and think that those blessed with being pregnant may have been here at some point. Wishing for their bfp too.

I know, I can't tell anyone but my mum went through my stuff and found my seven seas trying to conceive tablets and now asks all the time and i kinda brush it off as no big deal and as if we arent really focusing on it anymore to get her to stop :O
