TTC at 20 & pill advice needed!

Hi girls, this is my first post but everyone seems so lovely on here I'm looking forward to sharing experiences!

Basically, I am 20 and my boyfriend is 21 and we are TTC. We found out we were pregnant in October 2011 which was a massive shock, we were excited though. We went to the 12 week scan to find out that I'd had a missed miscarriage, which is where the miscarriage is only identified by ultrasound as I still had full pregnancy symptoms and no sign that we had lost the baby at about 9/10 weeks (this is how big they said the foetus was). I had to take two lots of tablets that induce the miscarriage as the risk of infection increases the longer it stays in there.

Periods returned to normal in February and I went on to the pill Microgynon in March. I didn't take a break in March but did at the end of April. Started a new packet at the beginning of May but then me and OH decided we wanted to start trying to stopped taking pills on 8th May. We had sex before the withdrawal bleed came but that came 3 days later and is only just easing up now.

Does anyone know if once the withdrawal bleed has stopped if we are OK to start trying?

Also is there anyone else on here TTC and a similar age? I know a lot of people will be negative about the fact that we are TTC so young but it is all we can think about, since losing the last we are sure that this is what we want and are ready. We are financially stable and very mature for our ages, we just want a little one to complete us and bring us together as a family.

Hi, sorry for your loss last year.
I am also TTC, but not my first and not the same age - but thought I'd say hi anyway (I am 34, DH is 40)

I have too just come off the pill on the 4th May - ready to TTCno3.

Big hugs hunni... I am sorry for loss last year and i hope its not too long until you get your BFP. I have used this site for quite a while now and you will find that nobody will judge you for your age ... We are all here because we are either in the same situation, have already had our little bundles of joy thanks to help from this forum or basically just to help one another get their dream of being a Mammy .

Sorry to hear about your loss.

I am 20 and OH is 24 25 next month (what to buy him God only knows). I find it hard telling people i'm TTC because of my age aswell. But I have arthritis and PCOS so I want a baby now while I can....

I was nervous about coming on here and saying my age when I first started TTC as I was 21 but I understand why. Age was one of the reasons I kept us TTCing on the DL lol..

Hope you get your BFP soon, Im in trimmy 1 but anything you need to know give me a shout

I'm 26 & my OH is 31 - so not the same age, but thought I'd say hey I echo the earlier comment, no-one is here to judge you, you do whatever the two of you feel is right I still feel 21 if thats any good haha & sometimes still feel so young for TTC as most of my friends are in their mid - late 20's and focussing so much on their career's not one of them (that I know of yet) is TTC except me... sending you lots of luck & love xxx

DITTO!! I have a really good friend in Uni, shes out and about all the time and exploring the world of many men, and drink and being a typical Uni Student. Another good friend has just become a HR Manager of a technical company so shes focussed on her career, another friend doesn't have a job(she has very bad heart problems and is like 27) but has 3 children and is engaged. And here is me 20 just finishing college, got a full time job still lives at home with parents and OH but trying to save for our wedding and a new car and our own place haha.

Hey there I am Also 20 years old And OH is 22 well 23 in July. We are Also TTC and have been engaged 3 years

I understand what you mean about the age concept. My grandmother found out we were trying and she is against it and she keeps telling me Im still young. Because I have PCSO and I keep getting down about it she dont understand why it bothers me so much and at a young age. Well It does! And we are also ready, got own own place and partner full time worker. We even got a spare room empty and ready for a little one's nursery, Few cuddly toys in there, and a book about pregnancy, also was given a free small pack of Asda's little angel wipes and one trail newborn nappie in the room. I got these free when I brought my vitamins! I even got some wonder spray from the Disney store, which is Linen spray for babies, it smells like a new baby, soap and Talc powder!....

I was on the pill for 18 months when I got Diagnosed with PCSO and I came off it in November last year to TTC our first. And i had 3 periods.

We are waiting for our little one to complete us as a family. How I see it is, when you think you are ready you are ready, only you can make that choice no one else.
