treats

this reminded me of my neice. If she asks for a treat my sister tells her she cant have treats everyday. so now she thinks 'everyday' is a day of the week, like monday. if she wants something she asks if its everyday today. and if my sister doesnt want her to have a treat she says yes it is and Jess accepts that she cant have it as its everyday

alex has had the odd lick of my icecream which he loved but other than that he has organix fruit pots, fruit pieces or rice cakes as his sweet things.

Seren doesn't really have treats at the mo as I think she is too young to understand what a treat is, but when she gets older will be doing what you do Davina and Jo :D

it is hard with joshua as he tells me he is hungry 20 times a day, all because he wants a sweetie. drives me mad :wall:

Asda do great snack packs of fruit, dried nana and stuff, try these with Joshua or give option of loads of other stuff except sweets, he'll get fed up of asking if nothing is there

Mind you its easier said than done isn't it??? Emily had had 3!!!! ice lollies today 'cos i couldn't be pestered arguing and she always seems to ask when i am busy with Jack  hmm starting to se a pattern here

hmm kids know the right time to get to you dont they. plus i think that dh gives in too easily.

Oh yes they certainley do, tonight for example
Emily had been bugging me for variuos stuff, biscuit, fruit whatever
( i don't starve her honest, think she was just bored!!) stuck to my guns 'cos i was making tea, as soon as Oh came in she said "daddy please may i have one of your sweets" Oh says yes straight away, and i objected and he was like 'its only a sweet what the problem' :wall: I'd been bloody fending her off for an hour Grrrr

i know what you mean as dh feeds joshua with a 'wham' bar. i find that he gives joshua sweets that he wants to eat and then takes half off him. i mean i never give chewy or boiled sweets, think they are so bad. :x

i agree with davina on the treat thing, i think its nice for kids to have a treat now and again. i have given coby a jaffa cake to try, and a sponge finger, he loved them!

but i agree with kina about the fruit and veg thing, if charlie or ethan ask for a snack, i give them fruit or a yogert, i wont give them sweets unless they have been good all week.

we was at my nans yesterday (family bbq) and she commented on how much coby eats, and said "watch he dont get fat" grrrrrrrrrrr!
the things he was eatig were sliced tomatoe, cucumbers sucking on carrot sticks and then strawberrys after his dinner (which was cottage pie)

i told her yes he does eat alot but its all friut and veg, she shut up then lol

not your nan again Layla, you mustnt let her get to you.

liam is getting to be a right little porker but it falls off as soon as they start moving around.

i think coby is gorgeous, i love the piccie of him with his dinner.

Hi

I mostly give Kiara fruit as a desert but has tried smoothies and ice cream just a few spoons though
