As Holly said, yes you have to go to a doctor in your catchment, but you might have more than one surgery in your area, so it might be worth asking around your friends and seeing if any of them have positive things to say about any docs they see.
im so thankful there is an NHS, dont get me wrong, its great to recieve free health care if you need it, (even though we all do pay for it, still a good system) but im always less than enthused when I come out of the doctors or hospital, I think its mroe mainly that workers are so time contrained and have so much paper work, and just generally totally over worked, not surprising really!
