Touching a nerve?!

OMG I cant stand up LOL .... everytime I do I get a shooting pain that starts in my lower back and go straight through my bum cheek and I nearly collapse!

This happened the other day twice when I was out and didnt think much of it but now its everytime I stand up. Could it be a trapped nerve or something?

Sounds like Sciatica. I know exactly how you feel i've been signed off work this week by my GP.

Does the pain travel down your leg?

no leg pain, the pain is only in my lower back then into my bum cheek - its such a lightning quick flash of pain that it doesnt really hurt but my leg gives way and I just cant stand up LOL

Its definately baby laying on the sciatic nerve I can barely walk....I just about hobble. Is there anything I can do about it?

lie on the opposie side to the pain, it helps a little

i have the same thing and have had it from very early on
its worse if ive been sitting for a long time and its on my left side.
I mentioned it to the midwife and she said I must keep my eye on it and if it doesnt get better they can refer me to a physio, but I dont know how much a physio can do with pregnant woman??
