So after the eastenders story
Line I thought I am gonna get one of those set to pay £40 or more for a peace of mind anyway went to tkmaxx and they have it for £20 so I got one. So just thought I would let you girls know incase you wanted one ad have a tkmaxx near you to check first.? Xx x

I think OHs mam is buying us one of them. Will reassure us when baby is here xxx

Defo try tk first though half price x

I love mine definitely worth the money xx

is this where the alarm goes when there is no movement ye?

I'm hopefully buying the ultimate one from a girl on here.

They have them in Home Bargains too :D

Not sure I'd use one though tbh, the sensor would drive me mad - peace of mind, perhaps, but definately not peace and quiet.
I realise that sounds harsh, but my friend has one, and it goes off when there's no movement for 20 seconds .... which is very often, surprisingly!

It's not noisy while I've been using it, and I haven't had it go off once in the 10 weeks since Isla was born. It's only when I forget to then it off that it goes off. Seeing the flashing light is so reassuring x

Maybe, I've laid it across the cot I found that lying it length ways didn't work well as Isla wiggles across the cot to the edge x

Brill! I had one with DS and the peace of mind it gives u is amazing! Deffo getting another this time, even if it cost £100 I'd get one so the fact it's cheaper is a bonus! Thanks for the tip!

i had 1 of these on my eldest ds after he stopped breathing and i crapped myself everytime it went off but i suppose technology has got better in the 9 years since then
they might not have them in every tk maxx not every store gets the same stock but check daily as they get fresh delivery every day :)

Hi guys

What is this? I don't watch Eastenders, so have on idea what you're talking about! Although, it sounds like something that I'd want to get...you put it under the cot and the alarm goes off if the baby stops breathing?? or moving??

Thanks :) xx

Yeah. Roxys baby on eastenders died of cot death

I personally would never get an alarm like this but each to their own.

never heard of it! with ds i didn't leave him alone long enough! haha

good idea but also could course alot of stress x

we had anglecare one with our 1st. was good, but a few times it went off in the night which caused us great alarm as you can imagine! but it was just he'd wiggled over to the cot edge (was a cotbed so bit bigger than normal cot)

Yeah that happened to us twice! He wriggled right down to the bottom of the cot!! I'd rather the fright for a second though than not be able to sleep properly!! It's the thing of if the worst did happen, it buys you time of getting to them to be able to do something cos you're alerted right away.
