I'm contemplating getting a tumble dryer just wondered if they are worth it? Opinions needed please ladies xx

I couldn't live without mine in the winter! Also saves my house looking like a laundrette with clothes drying everywhere! X

I love my tumble dryer!! Defo worth it x

Not like they used to be some are just get one with a good energy efficiency rating.

Omg I couldn't have lived without it these last few weeks! My lo goes through Moses basket sheets & baby grows like there's no tomorrow. I have it on at least once a day - hope my electricity bill isn't too horrendous! x

I had to give mine up a couple of weeks ago when we moved and Oh my God I've never missed anything so much in my life!!!

Definitely worth it!

I think every house that has kids in esp babies needs 1 mine is on constant in the winter

Think I'm going to have to invest in one
Then! Thanks ladies x

I've never needed one (don't have the room).

We just bought an extra dryer and it's in a room out of sight and that is for the babies clothes.

xxxxxxx

Ah i couldnt live without mine!! Especially in the winter!! The only thing i would say is be careful with LO's clothes and sleepsuits, mine has shrunk a few so i put vests, bibs and socks in the dryer and then sleepsuits and outfits on an airer. Also i dont see a difference in my electricity bill! Xx

We used to have one in our previous house. Had to leave it as rented. There isn't one in our current house and I thought we'd struggle but we haven't too much really. I use a clothes airer in our dining room and if I need something drying quicker I pop the gas fire on for a bit. And take advantage of any dry days by hanging it outside. We've managed a year without one now x

We have a tumble dryer but I don't dry much in it. Just towels, tea towels, comfort blankets, socks, bibs and bedding. I air everything else to dry. I hate shrinking clothes so don't even tumble dry the boys vests lol x

I used to have one when I lived with FOB but tbh I never used it (was a washer dryer combi). I think it just shrinks baby clothes. The clothes SIL has given LM are always a size or two smaller than on the label as theyve been tumble dried! And they keep better shape being air dried.

I just use a clothes maiden and works fine lol x

I tumble dry everythinggg even if it says not to haha, I just put it on the delicate setting.

It does shrink baby clothes over time but by then he's grown out of them anyway!

Love my tumble dryer for baby stuff! And socks, pants, towels (love soft tumbled towels) bedding. My washing pile is never ending I swear. We have a self condensing one so no tube thingy out the window :)

We never used one before Jackson, but thank god I've got one now. I don't think we could have managed.

Sorry didn't scroll back to read, mine doesn't cost too much tbh, I'm about 20 quid a week on electricity. But everything is electric in my house.

Also, the shrinking.. My clothes have never shrunk, nor has jacksons I think maybe if u leave them in too long or something? But none of mine have ever shrunk.

I think it makes the clothes all soft and snuggly - its a must for my bedding too! Lol.

I use mine all the time in the winter to dry my LO's stuff. Haven't noticed anything shrinking! It's very useful if you want things dried quickly as well. We have a washer/dryer though as not enough space for a separate machine. I didn't bother during the summer as we have a very hot conservatory where the airer lives, so everything went on that.
