TMI - discharge?

This is really gross, but I'm now 8 weeks postpartum and although the bleeding stopped a couple of weeks ago, I've had a really heavy discharge since then. It's heavy enough for me to wear a light flow sanitary towel. It's yellow coloured and does have a smell, although I wouldn't say it's a particularly offensive smell. Is this normal?
I also haven't had my period yet.

i did get quite alot of discharge to, i had to put a panty liner on just because it felt uncomfortable down there as felt damp and kept think it was my AF.... My AF showed up today so shouldn't be to long til yours shows up either. x

My mum had this after my sister was born. It ended up as some sort of mild infection but she had to go get quarterised (sp)
I would maybe check with your docs if the colour/odour is worrying you hun, maybe you need some antibiotics?
