First period after giving birth

I had Noah 4 weeks ago, and my bleeding more or less stopped about 2 and a half weeks ago. I still get like a light brownish discharge so still wear sanitary pads. However tonight I went to the toilet and there was a bit of blood on it and also when I wiped. I'm not sure if this is my bleeding stopping and starting like it did after my labour, or if its actually my first period? How can I tell?

I'm breastfeeding but not exclusively at the moment so I have missed feeds (midwife said this can make me ovulate and therefore get a period).

Any ideas?

I'm not sure but had the exact same experience... Bleeding had almost stopped and then started again on Tuesday. I am also mixed feeding so will watxh this thread!

im the same although not breastfeeding...our babies were all born close too so maybe it is a period..
