Hi guys,

I'm extremely impatient to test. (Not hopeful for positive as I think I started trying a bit too late in the month).

what time of day is best?
Should I limit water intake so many hours before?

How many dpo and before AF. (Currently 8dpo and 7days til AF

any other tips?

It really varies wirh each woman and Pregnancy. Fmu is the best for testing early. It needs to be concentrated, but not limited intake.

I got a bfp at 8dpo in my first pregnancy and 11dpo with my second.

Just know that you may get false negatives when testing early and that if you get a bfp there is a chance e of a chemical pregnancy

You're best off testing with your first urine of the day.

Ideally you should test the day your period is due but there's no way I'd ever have the will power to wait until then!!

4 out of 5 pregnancies I have had a positive at 10dpo. With the other I had a negative test and a period and was still pregnant! Bit of a medical mystery that one!

I always got on really well using internet cheapie tests and frers. Lines are obviously faint very early on and it's not always clear if it's positive or not which can be frustrating for some.

Testing early does mean you'll know if you have a chemical pregnancy (where egg is fertilised but doesn't really implant) and obviously that can be tough emotionally.

Anything before 10dpo is going to be so faint you'll still be wondering if it's a positive or an evap, so don't bother before then. You need to use morning urine for the most accurate result. That's really it, haha. Good luck x

I got a really decent line on a frer at 8dpo with my first.. It can happen but I wouldn't encourage it, the fear of a CP is overwhelming when you get a very early bfp

Oh yeah it's possible, but very rare. I got a faint bfp at 9dpo and a clear one at 10dpo. I spent the whole of 9dpo going "is it? Is it not? Hmm" so next time I'd just wait until 10dpo or later to avoid that drama. If you have a shorter luteal phase you'll get a positive earlier too. So maybe just test from 4 days before AF... for some that'll be 8dpo, for others that could be 12dpo!

Thanks for all the advice. I've tested today and BFN . I am 9dpo but there are 6 days until my period is due, 7 days until my period is missed so I guess that is still early.

I do feel like I have had implantation signs yesterday and today. Cramping and twinges yesterday, twinges again today as well as frequent urination and diarhoera this morning (may all been in my head) but I suppose from implantation it would take a few days. what are the chances of anything coming up positive tomorrow? I know waiting until Friday would be better or even later but I'm impatient lol

There is a chance every day until af comes that you may get a bfp. It's different for every woman.

I always had best results from testing in the afternoon rather than the morning for some reason.
