4) Have you ever received a BFP when testing early - if yes approximately how early did you test? NO - MONTH OF BFP I TESTED 1DAY BEFORE AF, WAS BFN, THEN TESTED 1DAY AFTER AF DUE AND GOT BFP
5) How much do you estimate you have spent on pregnancy tests since ttc? ABOUT £10 EARLY-ON ON SHOP HPTS, ABOUT £15 ON EBAY, AND £10 ON DIGI TO CONFIRM BFP
6) How much do you estimate you have spent on psychic readings? NOTHING, DONT BELIEVE IN IT

DONT THINK THIS THREAD WILL MAKE PEOPLE NOT TEST EARLY AS IT WOULDN'T HAVE ME...BUT I THINK IF YOU ARE GOING TO TEST EARLY EXPECT IT TO BE BFN AND DO NOT THINK THAT YOU ARE OUT OF THE RACE. EVERY MONTH I TESTED EARLY, I ALWAYS THOUGHT 'WELL IT IS EARLY SO I'M NOT GONNA BE TOO UPSET' AND I WAS RIGHT THE MONTH OF MY BFP THE EARLY WAS BFN BUT I STILL GOT MY BFP 2DAYS LATER.

2) How many cycles since ttc have you tested early (i.e. before AF due date)? twice, first month AF arrived, 2nd month BFP!3) What do you estimate to be the earliest you have ever tested? about 3 dpo - yes I was stupid but was first month TTC
4) Have you ever received a BFP when testing early - if yes approximately how early did you test - Yes, 8dpo got a faint line
5) How much do you estimate you have spent on pregnancy tests since ttc? About £40, ebay cheapies and a couple of clearblue digitals
6) How much do you estimate you have spent on psychic readings? £4

well i'm not ttc yet, maybe i'll understand when i start- but i'm baffled as to why anyone WOULD test early??? every time those adverts on the TV about testing four days before period is due- i always think WHY, WHY???? if its a BFN, thats just a waste of money- and if ur TTC then BFN is sad news so youre paying for sad news!!! i dont understand why people do it

i'd have thought that u wait for your period, then if it dont show up THAT'S when u get excited and test? i dont see the point in testing early?! please someone explain! am i gonna completely change when i start ttc'ing?

The times i've tested early have been when i've convinced myself that i've had symptoms and didnt want to wait to find out.

We all know that it's not a sensible thing to do - but it's very hard to resist, especially when the symptoms are there!

Imagine it in terms of having a great big christmas present on a table infront of you, and people dropping hints that it might be something you REALLY want. Then imagine being told that you can't open it for 2 weeks.

Now, it's a gamble, when you open the box it might be the thing you really wanted or it might be a smelly old jumper your gran knitted - but admit it, you'd be tempted to sneak a peek......
